*hides my granite crusher behind my back* I bought the 3rd one... I think they had 10 or 20 out.

to the one i went in early... i had 3 people and 2 kids and 1 me waiting.......

their was total of 8 >.> so two ladies grabed 2 each,

1 parent with 2 kids grabed 2.

i got 1....

and their was 1 left...


and that within first 5 mins of store opening.... makes me think maybe i should had grabed second one

I bought 3 today. They were limiting to one per customer. I bought one, then my wife and then went back later. Glad they had that rule because people were trying to buy like 10 at a time , dam scalpers.

Thats funny cuz one of the targets I went to literally had only Granite Crushers out.

How many did they have?

I picked up 2 this morning at my local Target. One to collect the other to play (my daughters collection).
I was the first to pick from the shelf. All were gone within 5 minutes.

We stopped by a second Target to see if they had broken the Monday date on wave 2 and they had NO Giants at all and had not gotten ANY Giants for opening day. They also have ZERO wave 2 figures for tomorrow. What a rip. I had thought about going to that Target first...I am glad that I did not.

I didn't even know he was rare. The Target in Frisco, TX still has like twenty of them on the shelves as of writing this. They got BOXES of the things. I think the reason you've missed him is your two Targets were bad and broke release. Probably sold out days ago.

I stood outside in the cold for an hour and a half all by myself waiting for Target to open and when they did, I jogged to the Skylanders section and saw absolutely no Giants figures. Turns out, they put out a total of 12 Giants on the back of an endcap. I managed to snag a Granite Crusher before a woman, in one swoop, pushed every single last Giant and multiple Granite Crushers into her shopping cart! Some Targets have a few extra in the back because the guy working replenished the endcap with two Granite Crushers about 15 minutes after the woman cleared them out while I was having a conversation with him. For anyone looking for Granite Crusher, you might want to ask the Target electronics associate on duty, it couldn't hurt.

There was no limit on how many you could buy, and from the looks of it, many stores only got a small grouping of them in.

I grabbed one of the last ones on the shelf, if not THE last one. And that was less than 10 minutes after they opened.

I went to my Target near Cleveland at about 4 today. They had a couple of Crushers left, so I was excited. I was just about to purchase it when I asked the employee if they received any of the Granite specials. She conferred with the young man, and they decided the "dude" didn't put anything out this morning/last night. She went in back and brought out a 6 pack of them. "How many do you want?" I only took one.

I'm not really interested in calling out scalpers. But when i read this i sorta laughed. You said you bought 3 and then you said 'dam scalpers'. Im sure you dont plan on selling those, I was still sorta chuckled by the thought. Maybe someone bought 10 because they wanted 10, lol.

I'll give it some time before the hype does down and they end up getting overstocked with them like L-Trigger Happy.

The Target Ad Did say Limited Quantities. My Target only got 1 box and I was lucky enough to get one.

Out of all the store exclusive variants, I think Granite Crusher has the greatest potential to become rare. As popular as this franchise is, Target still seems reluctant to dedicate much shelf space to the figures compared to Walmart and TRU. That, combined with the fact that Target isn't selling the Giants online, means their orders are probably much smaller than the other retailers with exclusives.

I also think this one has the potential to become rare. Especially, if it goes the same way as the whirlwind they had.

I think I vented about this in another topic. I had a twelve minute debate with a lady at Target about having anyting at all Giants oriented this morning. She told me repeatedly that she was not allowed to put them out until Tuesday in her store. I got a manager involved and they eventually brought out a stack of 84 boxes that only this lady was allowed to touch. She opened repeated boxs of the regular giants and trople packs and insisting she had them out to each individual person in line who wanted one like Santa Clause. Box 17 was Granites the first six people in line (4 families) all took one (six in a box). I considered staying longer because I was 1st in line so would have had first pick for variants but looked at my watch and discovered I had been in the store over 40 minutes not counting time waiting outside. I went back to talk to manager later and they refunded me what I paid for Granite so at least i got a free skylander out of it.

Moral of the story is i bet they had Granites out back and no employees were informed about the event.

I'm not sure if all Targets are set up this way, but at the one I went to, the Granite Crushers were on an endcap three aisles down from the actual Electronics section. There was a partitioned display box with the regular version on one side and Granite on the other, and each side could hold about 9 of each. If I hadn't asked an employee, I probably wouldn't have even seen it since it was separated from all the others.

My Target had them right next to the Skylanders aisle of electronics... i think they must have partioned the Granite Crushers throughout the day because I went when they opened this morning to get one for me and another for a friend, and there were only 2 sitting out, so i grabbed them both! I randomly stopped in later tonight, around 8 or 9pm and they still had a couple granite crushers sitting out! I bought a second for myself so I could have one to be open/ play with.... sounds like all the Targets did their stuff differently today!!! lol

Granite must have been made in pretty low stock if there are so many shortages of him and he never came to Aus... Wow.

I'm thinking about buying one on ebay for $30. I always say I'll never pay above retail, but this may be worth it.

the target i went to had 4 when i got there and 3 when i left. it is a new store so not high on the list of places to go to.

All targets near me have stock of them. They didn't put them all out at once, the did one box at a time, over time. (or so said the 5 different employees i have talked to)

I got mine this morning. Wasn't even planning to go into the store, but had a few minutes to kill before TRU opened. It was the only one on the peg. Not sure if I even want it. Might be returning it.

I think it's perception. My Target didn't have ANY Skylanders Giants out on release. They had to go in the back and find them. When they did, they had no clue about the Granite Crusher. Later that day, my wife went and found a bunch. I went again much later in the day and they had a whole shopping cart full of them. I went today, they had none...but I bet they are in the back.

When in doubt, just ask.

My Target had maybe 10 Granite Crushers and NONE of the other Giants. As for the other figures, only LC Drobot, LC Prism Break and maybe a Whirlwind and Zook. I asked if they had anymore than what was out and they said "no, they've been selling like crazy."

I went to the Target close to me and there were 12 Granite Crushers; now 11 since I bought one. There were plenty of other Giants, LC, and S2. Although, there weren't any wave 2 figures. My wife said another Target she went to also had Granite Crushers. From reading other posts, I thought the Granite Crushers would be gone, and I wasn't really looking for him, but since it was there I went ahead and picked him up.

<3 MY STORE was AWESOME + had them on Display but when i went their was only 6-8.... In first 5 mins their was only 1 left.

But ;3 i am glad i gotten my most wanted Skylander of Wave 1, and might be even from all giants series.... "Granite Crusher" made me proudly/broken wallet to get into Skylanders <3

But i think why Target in my area was lil bit more aware about it than others is because i called them like 3 times + went in person 2 times to talk to people working their ;p to make sure they have it up.

Same here actually. I went to Target yesterday, and saw what they had next to the first game stuff, and decided to ask just for the heck of doing so if they had any Granite Crushers left at all (Thinking that I'd get a "No" answer.) The guy I asked was like "Have you tried over here" and took me to a endcap display a bit further down from the rest of the skylanders and wouldn't you know it, there was ONE left. He grabbed it and handed it to me and asked "This?".

So had I NOT asked I'da never saw it. But now I have one and I'm glad. Much to my dismay though I had bought one for 25 bucks (Free shipping) on ebay on the 21st, the day before. So now I'll have 2. But the card on the one I got yesterday in store is a bit beat up like someone attempted to open it or something...really weird.

But of all the store exclusives I think G- Crusher is one of the best ones thus far. I like his colour scheme much better than the regular Crusher (Even though I plan to get both) lol.
I may decide to trade my extra (Since I don't really need two)- For a different Giant figure (Like swarm or something). I dunno just yet though.

This exact same thing happend to me at Tesco here in the UK!!! Got him now though! YAY.

Mine is at level 9 already. Love playing as him.
