does it have a difficulty select, we know the wii/xbox/ps3 versions do. but yeah. i'm on the fence about picking up that version, even though you get 2 variant figs at walmart.

but yeah, the only thing that killed the first skylanders game for me was it was just a little too easy.

thank you in advance for the answer.

I thought the original 3DS game had a pretty reasonable challenge. I don't know the answer to your question though.

Nope and this one is pretty easy to boot. (I've logged in about an hour of time onto it and are on the fifth world.)

Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure for 3DS could be really hard to get 100% without specific characters in my opinion.

No harder than the first game, in fact, very much easier- it only took this long because of the cutscenes and dialog- so if that was your main issue with the first handheld game Giants is not a resolution.

The only real difficulty I had with the 3DS version thus far is the return of the Adventure Pack levels and their challenges.

Does Giants 3ds game have those timed level completions on the missions. Not sure what they were called, (my son plays it and I have just watched him a few times) but most missions had a part toward then end that would say "Someone (Chaos maybe??) was coming, and you had to complete the level in the time frame alotted. Does Giants have the same thing on the missions? or do you just complete it as you go with no real time constraints?

Thanks

You go through it the first time without a time limit, once you finish it you can replay the same, or play the time challenge mode.

I'm thinking about getting a 3DS XL around Black Friday... which version of Skylanders would you recommend for the 3DS version?? Is it worth getting Skylanders for it, or will I be disappointed? I had heard the characters can actually jump in the 3DS game, so it peaked my interest.... any thoughts?? smilie

Well, I really like the original and I quite meh this one.
The original might be a better idea just because you'll be able to get it even cheaper.
If you'd prefer something with more action, go for the original. If you want something with more exploration, go for this one. I think it's simple as that.
