Question about Variants [CLOSED]

I've got GITD Cynder, and it calls her 'Series 2 Special Cynder'. So this means that the variants are 'Special' Skylanders.

My Question: Are the Variants from Series 1 'Special' too?

Nope. Tested Pearl, Metallic, Chrome, nothing.
