They abruptly cancelled my pre-order a couple of days ago

I have sent an email to them and tried to use their online chat to ask sky, to no avail...

Was it only me or did it happen to others?

Because of weight I've been told, the same thing happened to me and it's because they won't ship anything internationally that is over 1kg

They actually got back to me last night (my time). The first response simply stated that they could not automatically redo the order and for me to do that myself (even though their lack of responsiveness meant no chance to do so any longer).

So, I re-iterated that they still owed me an explanation of why the order got cancelled. They gave me a vague excuse that the PayPal transaction did not go through and to check with PayPal. Well, I did and PayPal confirmed that there was no reason why the transaction would not have been processed given that Game Station initiated a pre-check when I first made the order. (Hence, GS were fill of it with a not so silent "sh").

The 1kg line that they gave you was also more a lie than a line. I have had bulkier, heavier items sent from the UK many times on the small parcel rate. Even if they had a legit reason like this they could/should have simply either not taken the order in the first place or manually cancelled it straight away as opposed to 2 days before release.

Well, they can take a long run off a short cliff for all I care! Over the months I found their customer service was non-existant and a misnomer of terms. As of yesterday morning Amazon.de stated that they had shipped the item to me.

It's in their terms and conditions that Gamestation won't ship over 1kg internationally, somebody said that the company "wouldn't know" until they attempted to ship, that's why they still took orders it sucks but there are some good people around who might share or trade

Well, I just weighed it all and approx. 800g, significantly less than a kilo.

Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to shoot the messenger, merely point out that they have no valid reason. Even if this was a valid reason, 2 days before release? Either they would ship on release day or a bit earlier than what they did if they were allowing for shipping time (nominally 2 weeks).

I still haven't reordered it. Could you link to the listing chaos?
