Has anyone had any thought as to cases for the new giants and charcters. I loved the Stanley black and yellow carry cases that where shown on this web site to house all first generation skylanders, something I did for all 37 of mine as well. I was wondering if anyone knows if the same cases will work. I would think that the giants would be too big and ifc they are, does anyone have other ideas yet? I love storing them in those cases and hope to continue that trend.

Any thoughts?

Okay, since someone brought this up, I will talk about it.

I've been messing with each of the new Skylanders I get, and seeing how they would either fit in the Stanley Sortmaster Jr. or Stanley Sortmaster XL.

My theory on the Giants, was that I would have to save the huge spots in the XL for Giants. I thought they would be small enough to fit 2 each, but I was way wrong. Tree Rex takes up an entire slot, which means putting 8 giants into the 4 biggest slots in the XL is out of the window. With Series 2 Cynder, she requires a bigger space on the Sortmaster Jr. or one of the side compartments of a Sortmaster XL.

On the XL, Pop Fizz and Shroomboom can fit into the small compartments that fold out, and so can series 2 Chop Chop. However, on the Sortmaster Jr., Pop Fizz needs a compartment that is the second biggest compartment in a case (ie not the longest ones on the middle-left and right, and bottom-left and right, and not the smallest five pockets on the top of the case), and Shroomboom is fine in the smallest pockets, while Chop Chop needs one of the biggest slots, just like Cynder.

I am still tinkering with these, and it's why I haven't used any of my stickers yet. Giants stuff may require a new type of case. I will let everyone know if I see an oppurtunity for an excellent case.

I use a clear rubbermaid bin decorated with stickers... i cut cardboard dividers to separate diff sections, and it's tall enough for the adventure pack game pieces and giants figures too!! smilie

These Giants are pretty tall (Swarm), wide (Tree Rex), or tall and wide (Crusher). I thought I could easily fit 2 in a pretty huge compartment, but I was wrong.

I believe it was your cases that I mimicked mine off of. Looking forward to see what you come up with again. 3 of those Stanley cases held all 37 skylanders and the expansion packs. Hopefully we will see what Giants has to offer. When you come up with something.... pics would be nice Hint hint...

Thanks again...

Here's a picture of the storage box (Artbin 6990AB) I ordered from Amazon. I should be getting it later this week, so I don't have actual pictures with Giants in it. The dimensions of it are 15.2" x 14" x 6.2". The 6.2" ht is tall enough to accommodate a standing Giant.

Yeah, but standing around and sloshing around when being moved, may damage the lights inside the lightcore giants. I hope to find a case that can hold them, but I can lay them down and keep them from moving around so much, somehow.

I have a black and yellow box but for Giants I might need a diffrent one cause they wont fit in the case! I only use the case for carying them but when I'm just at home I take them out and stand them infront of my TV doing random things.

There is a large Snapware case at Target for about $14.00 that they fit in, but they aren't divided so they can slide around. An option that can be continually stacked together as needed though. You get two levels for the $14.00. May not be bad for the Giants by themselves and you can still use the Stanley for the rest.
