Will it be released in single pack in the future? If it isn't it will be a really fraud!

Um... No, it's not fraud - it's just business. I really don't see the obsession with people having to get all the variants of every figure.

The issue is that I like getting all in-game charachters. When it was revealed that this was an in-game skin, I became dissatisfied. Making hard to find figures for collectors is one thing. The change of game skin is an overt effort to get the completist gamers involved in searching for him. Having tobuy an entire game system to be able to access one of the characters in a game is a little overkill and kind of offensive to the commitment of those involved in this game.

I think they named him gnarly so kids would know how to spell it...

What ItsJustMe said, same with Granite Crusher out of America, same with Sidekicks, and it will be the same with a lot this game again. I honestly think Activision just like seeing us suffer, wether it's for money or not.

Actually, I almost believe the opposite. This ridiculous change in exclusive skin changes does make it really hard for people to 'collect them all'. But I think it's because they don't want to make people have to buy all of them. And for proof of this concept, I have now gone from complete buyer to content gamer who will only buy the starter pack for Giants. It really shouldn't affect how much fun I have playing the game. And if it does, you're missing the point. I mean, it is a game, right?

And I really really really hate it when people blame game industries and producers for coming out with these products saying that they are doing a bad thing, that they should feel guilty, and that it's offensive. No one is making you buy these things. No one. If someone gets mad and feels they have to buy them all, that's their thing. It's none of anyone's business to say that Activision is forcing something on us.

It's like those anti-fast food people who blame McDonald's for obesity. You know, if McDonalds wants to sell me a bucket of Chicken McNuggets for $1, thats between me and McDonalds. And no one should come between us and say how bad we should feel. The way we buy things has dictated how Activision sell things. You said it yourself in another thread. We're buying, so their selling. There's nothing offensive about it. It's really just a couple individuals who are butthurt about not being able to get all the things they want. Well guess what. My major issue is distribiution. If a figure unlocks special content in a game I bought, I feel I should have the opportunity to buy it. Te fact that some aspects of a game I purchased will not be available to me possibly ever if I do not also purchase a PS3 slim and move over seas sours my desire to get figures at all. As odd as it seems if I can't at one point unlock everything in this game I am not sure I want it.

^ Agree. It's not really the fact there are so many variants, but that they're so badly distributed. Gnarly Tree Rex is an ultimate middlefinger up to anyone who doesn't want a PS3 but wants any form of variant. Too bad that they didn't just make them ulockables, I guess. At this point it's more THANK GOD I KNOW I'LL GET THIS rather than the intended treasure hunt to get them.

Will the PS3 bundle be released on Sunday? This might be my chance to get a PS3 for cheaper than normal...

Well again, I don't think a Gnarly Tree Rex unlocks anything a regular Tree Rex doesn't. Don't just assume that because it has an in-game skin means that it has it's own features in the game. It still may act like a regular Tree Rex and just look different. I think it's possible that an issue they had with S:SA was that kids would be fortunate enough to get a rare character scheme and then find out they are the same character in game. So as far as the skins, I think they went that extra mile to make it worth the variant.
