S2 figures can have both paths cuz if you see Gill Grunt's, Drill Sergeant's, Chop Chop's or Stump Smash's figurines images they have both paths included in the figure, also I think that them and the Series 1 will have a new Soul Gem power

Oh, and I think that new ones and giants can switch between both paths, if you don't like one just reset the path (no more all-reseted skylanders anymore smilie)

Nope they wont be able to have both paths, you can only switch them. the figure just has them both for better design

The new soul gem is wow pow all but s1 will have one

You can switch paths on they fly, everyone but s1 can

See: Stealth Elf. Her video had the Daywhatsamacallit Daggers, AND Triple Scarecrow upgrade.
Darn, I really need to play Forest Ninja more often, she is wonderful. One of the most unique characters in the game and the most unique meleeist by far.

Really? If they have both upgrade paths, I will NEED to get the S2! I guess that means that I would have to start painting and selling my S1 for money...

Plus, Paul said in the interviews with FGTV that Series 2 Skylanders can switch dynamically.

Ah. After seeing the video, I realized that, although it is HIGHLY unlikely, Stealth Elf could have made the scarecrows, then switched to PBS while they were still there.
