This Topic is about the fire giant, Hot Head. I will update this thread if any more news about Hot Head is release. Anyone can comment and I will keep you updated.

Biography
Hot Head had always been a short tempered fire giant. But it was when magical oil was discovered in Skylands that fuel was really added to the fire. As exciting as the discovery was, the celebration lasted only 5 minutes - coming to an abrupt halt when Hot Head needed to cool off and plunged into the thick black pool, causing the entire island to explode! Though it would be another 2,000 years before magical oil was discovered again, the impact that it had on Hot Head was immediate. He was instantly infused with magical oil, giving him the ability to generate an infinite supply of fuel - making him incredibly volatile, highly combustible, and ready to torch anything that got in his way.

Awesome! Can't wait for ! Too bad he's not in wave one . He looks awesome though!

Yeah, I agree too, I wish he was in wave one. I find that his attacks are the coolest out of all the giants. And I was very dissapointed to see not much people voted Hot Head as their favorite giant skylander in the poll.

Hot Head is my Number 2 Giant. He has done such an incredible aspect on me.

Hot Head is one of our faves! His flamethrower attack is BRUTAL!

He's my favorite too, i'm gonna get him on the first day he comes out.

As of October 22:
He's now my second favorite. Thumpback is officially my favorite, can't wait until he comes out in wave 3. The second giant that I'm going to get is Hot Head or Crusher (Can't decide which)

Time to bump this thread. I actually got Hot Head today, hes starting to become my favorite so far.

His flamethrower ability does 14 per second while holding A which can be upgraded to 18. His X move, the oil ball can leave a trail that doesn't last long and be set on fire with flamethrower. You can also hit enemies with the oil ball doing 10 damage and blacken them and set them on fire which will do 24 damage over time. I just throw oil balls and then set them on fire and it wrecks enemies pretty fast, flamethrower alone is weak.

His AoE ability just seems weak. He starts pumping oil into the air setting it on fire and it rains fire on the enemy, It leaves him vunerable for attack for about 2-3 seconds and does 7 damage (upgraded first time) 3 times to any target nearby. Oil trail/ball + Flamethrower just seems more effective than this.


I got him upgraded up to his path taking. I can't decide which, but judging how slow and low dmg his AoE ability is, I've got an idea. You can either take the path The Burniator, which looks to further upgrade his oil balls and flamethrower. Or you can take the Oil Baron path, this one develops his AoE ability but the last upgrade looks like he is forming a spirit bomb (DBZ reference lol).

I'm probably going to take The Burniator path, Oil Baron could turn the usefullness of his AoE around who knows.

Cool, I think that his Burniator Path is useful for hitting multiple enemies, but his Oil Baron path is better at dealing damage. Right now I prefer the Burniator Path, but who knows maybe his Oil Rain attack will be useful later on in his game. Also, I really think that they should have also made the flames ion his hand light up too. And MotionPotion, have you got his soul gem yet?

Hey Everyone, post your Upgrade path recommendation for Hot Head here, if you managed to get him!

I found it but I haven't purchased it yet.

I want hot head so much! They were out of him at toys r us and I'm sad

Ok I just bought the Soul Gem ability. It makes him run around alot faster and bearable. You can turn around pretty good in this mode. You can also damage enemies by running into them, it does 18 per hit on multiple enemies stacked.

Picked up Hot Head at Gamestop today. His figure is really cool, haven't gotten to play him yet, but are his eyes supposed to glow? Mine don't. It surprised me because all my other giant's eyes glow.

Wow, this topic is old... I created it one month ago when Hot Head was still my favorite giant, but now it's Thumpback. Now I will no longer post on this thread anymore.

Ironically, Hot Head is my second fav Giant now, as opposed to hating him a while ago
