Welcome! This is my new try at a fan-fic. My skills may be just an eensie bit rusted. They'll get better, I promise!
So the whole story is basically what the title says. It's just the journey of the skylanders, through their rough times and fun times. I'll be introducing new characters in Book 2, including new portal masters, new villains and new skylanders!
So, without further ado:

Prologue Part 1: The Giants

Machines creaked. The smell of gasoline, fire, and metal reeked through the woods.
Somewhere, in the forest part of this mixed up environment, a creature stirred. Birds called to their flocks as they rose in the air.
"Urrgrah!" The roar could be heard throughout the region, loud and discreet.
The beast took a small step. The earth shook and a large BOOM rattled the factory.
Orders could be heard coming from the factory building. A loud speaker boomed a rusty voice, deep, almost sounding like metal scraping metal. "Arkeyans! March! Find this disturbance and eliminate it immediately!"
On command, many robots arose from their rest or work and slowly marched to a very 1-2-1-2 military rhythm. The feet made even larger booms than the mystery beast somewhere in the woods.
The robots boomed into a small clearing, the future spot of their mini resting quarters.
"Uuurrgrah!" The beast bellowed from the shadows of the large trees. It stomped into the clearing, exposing its true appearance. It's right arm was red with a gem embedded on the knuckle of it's hand. It's chest and forehead were red also. It's upper leg was Mossy green. The rest of its body was brown, like a tree.
"You destroyed my home!" It shouted. "Now I'll destroy you!" He held out his right arm and charged into the robots. The robots shot lasers at it, but they basically bounced off it's hard, wooden body.
The beast raised its arm high in the air, sending a huge boom through the soil. The earth rattled as the large Arkeyans Tumbled to the ground.

Above head, a large bug flew through the clouds. "It feels good to be free!" It shouted, so the whole world could here.
It was huge, with long antennas stretching back over its head. It's face was that of an insect. Its body was orange and black with long, transparent wings extending from his shoulder blades. It's hands had pine tree shaped stingers.
While flying over a small clearing, it saw a large tree beast dueling a herd of robots.
"It needs help!" The bug swooped down into the battle.

A large robot wheeled in between the trees. "Yo! Arkey-idiots! Show yourself! It's time for you to go!"
He wheeled into a patch of sunlight that maneuvered its way through the canopy.
His large body could be seen. He had a regular robot head, antenna and all. His shoulders were decorated with spiked shoulder pads. A lightning bolt ran from each of his shoulders to his center chest. Instead of legs, his body squeezed into a lean shape, formatted with a wheel at the bottom. His fingers were guns, like a young child makes when playing cop or cowboy.
He appeared in the clearing to see a large tree beast and huge bug fighting an endless herd of robots.
"The Arkeyans!" He snapped. Without any further thought, he wheeled into the mess and began to shoot Arkeyans.

Three large creatures entered the woods. One was female, weilding two swords. Another was large and stone, with a huge hammer. The third was on fire. Literally. He looked some-what like a volcano with a flaming head.
The trio was deep in conversation. They didn't notice the battle around them till an Arkeyan slammed into the female, sending flying back. She was quick to retaliate and slashed at it.
The other two joined. There were 6 giants now fighting to death against a race that would one day make them famous.
