LMAO - I think this has got to be the funniest thread on this forum. I'm actually going to North Point Mall, I live in Atlanta, I was born in New Orleans though, and have been to that Toys R Us in Metire countless times! LOL

I think a better topic is "Which store are you going to first on day 1?"

For me, I'm going to the EBGames at Lougheed Mall in Coquitlam, British Columbia. I have my Battle Pack pre-ordered there, and I've pre-ordered a Giant character chosen at random. (Though they say that you're allowed to exchange it for a different one if it's not the one you want, which means I'll be getting Crusher)

im going to be at walmart the day before at like 11pm so i can get the game, hopefully the glow in the dark portal/cynder pack.

GameStop, Farmington Hills, Michigan. There's a Best Buy across the street from it.

I am going to Target.

I'm in North bergen, New Jersey. Going to target to get granite crusher. Then GameStop where I preordered my game and battle pack. They say they might open an hour earlier for the game. Then goin to Toys r us to pick up some legendaries. Definitely getting L-Bouncer

I am taking the day off.

TRU first to pick up my Leg Bouncer pre-order and see what else they have.

Then Targets, Big Ws, JB Hifis and KMarts on the way back to my local EB Games to get my pre-ordered games and figs from there. I also also scope out a Harvey Norman or two but not that concerned about them as they are not cheap like the others or possibly going to have anything exclusive like TRU or Target.

I'll probably go figure hunting 'till my pockets dry out and then just wait for my preordered game from TRU since the TRU that I ordered it from is too far for anyone to drive me there

K-Mart, they open at eight, so they'll be one of the first stores in the world selling Giants stuff within proper street date(after, supposedly, New Zealand's shops).

Why would someone go to the store on day 1 for these things?

Better yet, why would you take a day off? They'll still be there the next day. Or the day after. They're sold out? Wait for them to restock.

Given that I have so many items on pre-order, I do not need to take a day off and am assured of at least a majority of what is available here in Oz.

However, I have been working very hard recently, have not had a day off for some time and feel like a day off and it seems like a good excuse to me . I can play the game in peace whilst the family is doing their BAU thing.

CAV, why do tomorrow what can be done today?
if you dont have to wait, and if you can take a day off why not?

i'm going to big w on day 1 but it's too bad that the seventeenth is on a school day

Hah I'm heading off to target at 8 am grabbing fright rider and the exclusive crusher then going to hang around art supply stores or a starbucks until best buy is just about to open (2 hours later)then I will use the rewards zone points I have to actually buy the game.

fortunately the 21st is a sunday otherwise I would be a fair bit annoyed.

As it is I will be going against the local scalpers.

I'll be going to my local Walmart for their midnight release of Skylanders Giants which I'll be buying the GITD Starter Pack and some of their Skylanders Giants figures. I'll then head to Target later in the morning before it opens and TRU for their Legendaries

Too bad I have to go on a monday. I have to wait until I am done with school...

I'm worried how crazy Wal-Mart will be. I've never been to a midnight release at Wal-Mart. But I've been to toys r us skylanders ship day. And that was crazy bananas. Ppl are crazy about skylanders. If I go anywhere I'm bringing my mom, so she can knock stuff out of other people's hands instead of an old lady doing it to me. Also she's tiny and firey .

Area one K-Mart. Check for exclusives. Then straight to TRU. Big W next to TRU to see for anything, then Target with them. Then my two JBs. Then just EB Games to pick up anything else. Essentially, I only need to check stores for exclusives, because EB Games has pretty much everything else on preorder.

Nay, I don't pay for it, my parents do. In return, I don't get any allowance or holiday money. I like it better this way because I know that's what I would spend it on. I do hope to pay them back one day, though... If only. *insert montage of life dreams here*

It's not as big as you'd think, honestly. One, maybe two or three games a month, and Skylanders. This just happens to be a massively busy year because of the Wii U coming out, and a lot of good games as well. Activisionberg...
They tell me outright if they can't afford something, but they've been anticipating the cost of Giants and we've all been pitching in everything we can and we should be juuuust able to get Wave One. Even my sister donated a bit.

Two or three games a month? Wow. We just play Halo, Skylanders, and Minecraft.

Hey, at least I don't buy a new iPhone every year, or a ton of expensive clothing.
