When we had NO idea what the skylanders names where.

We had no idea about battle packs, who was getting the repose, or the looks of the characters

We didn't know anything at all!

Went through the same process during the release of SSA. It wasn't exactly the same this time, but it was weird during SSA since it's the first Spyro game where we had to periodically wait for more information to be released.

^ Same here but make that Target instead. I was stoked about it because I saw the neat setup and figures everywhere so I bought them first and came back a week later and purchased the game. My first four figures were Drobot smilie, Sonic Boom smilie, Zap smilie, and Whirlwind smilie.

Yeah... I actually got Skylanders from something called a house party pack. It's basically a pack to advertise the particular product. Sure all the Skylanders were given away, but I got to keep the one leftover. And I got to go shopping for more the day after. I got smilie as the leftover and smilie smilie smilie smilie smilie when I went shopping.

In all seriousness though, TBQH, I actually completely forgot about SSA last... Well, after I left here. Only cause of the TV ad did I remember. In the end, though, I'm actually glad I wasn't overhyped for it. Even with my low expectations I had from what I was looking at, I'd found Consolelanders to be the most degradingly disappointing recent game I've played. I would have gone on a mass rage trip if I had been constantly avid for it. smilie
