Auto Dead Topic close in Skylanders section? [CLOSED]

How about topics that haven't been had a comment in months, close automatically after being dead for one or two months? That way, it can prevent new users from dead topic bumping old topics in the Skylanders section.

This is already implemented, however in some sections topics stay open longer than others.
Ie. Site Help and Suggestions topics are open longer than Stuff and Nonsense.

I don't remember the exact numbers, other than SaN is one-two months, but I could be wrong.

This is already implemented.
I believe the only sections lacking it are the Skylanders Forum, the Mobile games and the Admin Forums.

Why do the Skylanders forums letting old topics last longer, while the topics in other sections get closed automatically after a certain amount of time?

dark implemented it before they were made so presumably he simply never updated them to have a purge rate.

The difference was made to control the flow of topics of SaN, since it was the most popular section at the time it was added. Other areas like role play and fandom were given more time till auto-close, for the sake of allowing people to continue a fanfic or role play if it has been idle for a long time instead of making another topic.

The game sections have longer times set, but for Skylanders and how popular it is right now it might be a good idea to shorten the time span.

Yeah, new users are posting in topics older than five months, which should've been closed after a certain amount of time.

Any topic they find interesting (old or not) they will post in them.

I don't support this... especially with the influx of people due to Skylanders. If we close them too early, there's a high chance that you'll start seeing multiple versions of the same topic. Also, the classic Spyro threads are barren, so I'm fine with those staying open in case I decide to post in one. >.>

If it annoys you, just ignore it. What's the problem? It knocks the topic you want to post in down two or three spots on the topic list? Not enough of a reason in my opinion. >.>

Well most of this happens in the Skylanders section when some new users just post in old topics for no reason just to bring it back to the top.
