Reasons:

Series 2=Lightcore

Pop fizz: Action pose = Normal pose

Prism Break: Has new armor and the base looks like hes summoning crystal eruption = Good pose but series 2 better

Chill: Ready for battle pose = normal pose

Eruptor: Okay this series 2 might be worse but the spikes on his head make me wonder = much better than series 2. The only good lightcore pose

Drobot: Constipated drobot is best Drobot with the spinning blade = practically series 1 Drobot with light

Hex: Skull sphere makes it a lot better pose = Practically articulated Hex with light

Jet vac: Action pose = Normal pose, doesnt impress me

Shroomboom: Best pose = normal and not very cool pose

And plus, who will buy the same figure 2 times just for a little light and a lot more ?

I actually think that the lightcores are better than the regular versions for the most part.

Lightcore Chill looks a lot more dignified in her lightcore figure, and that makes her seem "strong" to me. Her regular figure just doesn't seem as cool to me.

Lightcore Drobot is better. People may like to say "Constipated Drobot" is better, but if you get passed the not all that funny meme and actually compare the two, the Lightcore Drobot is a much nicer figure, even if it IS very similar to the series 1 figure.

Lightcore Eruptor is VASTLY superior to the series 2 figure. Eruptor still looks kind of cool in his lightcore version, where in the series 2 figure it looks like a dog chewed him up.

Jet-Vac I'll agree with you on this one. I prefer the more cartoony expression, and I like his pose a lot better in his regular version.

Lightcore Shroom Boom is pretty underwhelming. I like his regular figure better too.

Lightcore Pop Fizz also isn't as good as his regular figure. The regular figure captures his personality better, where in the lightcore one he's just kinda standing there.

Lightcore Prism Break is much better than his goofy series 2 figure. Whenever I look at his series 2 figure, all I can think of is Tidus laughing from Final Fantasy X. Look at his series 2 figure, and then imagine him going HA HA HA HA HA!

Lightcore Hex I actually like a lot better than the series 2 Hex. I think the way lightcore Hex's arm and hand is positioned makes her look more ghostly and creepy than her series two figure that looks like she just found a hookshot in a treasure chest.

For me, I think of the lightcores as a more expensive option for higher quality figures. I just kind of like that there are multpile poses for certain figures. Though I do still think that they're pointless, and despite being nicer figures, aren't worth buying and shouldn't have been included. I think that they should have kept lightcore technology exclusive to the Giants, and then in the third game they could have made a set of series 3 characters with lightcore tech, and had that be the only option for those characters. I think it would have gone over a lot better that way.

Regular version looks so much nicer. The LightCore looks absolutely demented, and not in a good way. The light effect will probably be very underwhelming as well.
I like the Series Two better. In terms of pose, the way it looks like he's doing his Crystal Eruption looks absolutely epic. The lighting effect on the LightCore is pretty sweet, though.
I think both her figures are very mediocre... No preference...
LightCore all the way! Series Two is laughable. I dislike both though, the LightCore's lightup is awful, it just looks like a circle in his mouth, and his stance is very plain.
Series Two badly overdid it. The LightCore maintains a dignified, yet cool pose. Constipated Drobot just is not good and the gear is awful.
I like both of them! Series Two is personal preference since it looks much more solid though(the weakness of the original figure was why I wasn't especially keen on it).
EVERYBODY IS KUNG-FU EAGLE! Yeah, LightCore is pretty silly. I like the overall premise but I personally prefer the regular.
Slingshot string on regular looks very cheap- for that alone I prefer the LightCore since it makes it much less of a standout. Plus the effect on it is pretty slick.

Pointless LC. Series 2 is better.
It is awesome, and so much cooler then the normal one in pose.
I love it, the S2 one is terrible.

I like his regular better. Like DinoHex said, it captures his personality more so that the Lightcore.

I actually like his Lightcore better. The S2 looks a little goofy, and I really think the green looks good on him.

Her Lightcore pose doesn't really seem that different. I just hope the Lightcore isn't as glossy as her regular pose.

I don't like either. The Lightcore effect on Eruptor looks terrible, but the pose of S2 is awful.

I don't know. I guess I prefer the S2 because he is using an attack.

His Lightcore is silly, and it doesn't match his personality.

I have always had a liking for the Lightcore. The S2 looks like one of the photos where a person is doing something, but unrealistically looks and smiles at the camera.
