LightCore
Core of Light
Now, you know how it made the darkness disappear right? Maybe that's why they light up: http://www.geek.com/wp-content...6/LightCore.jpg
Maybe something happened to the 'landers in a freak accident, and they have the ability to do what the core of light does.

They're LightCore because the normal Skylanders are called Core Characters(you can find it in the compatibility chart of the Giants website).The LightCore are Core Characters that light up.
