I have just had an email from toysrus after i asked them, this is what they said:

After further investigation with regard to your recent query, I can confirm we will have Skylanders Giants online in early course.

The Skylanders Starter Packs and Booster packs are available to pre-order. The Legendary Triple Pack will be available around the end October.

Wow. I genuinely feel sorry for the UK. You rarely get any events, and (from what I remember from stalking) you had to wait months for Dragon's Peak, now a shelf burner. And now the Legendary Triple coming half a month late.

Then again, it isn't confirmed for launch in Aus either. Still, this gives me the feeling it'll be increduridiculously rare over there.

I've been bashing away at TRU's Facebook page on this topic and have so far been ignored. I will update on any progress

Just off the phone to the unhelpline for TRU.
The US code for the new Legendary Triple pack (868204) doesn't work on the UK system and the only Legendary pack on the system is the SA one (and that's out of stock).
The lady was able to advise me that they have no Giants figures in stock and don't know when they will get them in. At least she gave it to me straight! She was also sympathetic for the ignoring from the Facebook page and said she would pass on my feedback to the Facebook team.

I know where I wouldn't be going for my standard Giant figures.
