With Giants eeking ever closer for Australia(15 days left)... I'm going to do something I've planned for for a while, a coverage topic, before I forget!
I'll be covering the game, the figures, releases, upgrades, and all that good stuff, by in-hand experiences.
If you don't want the game spoiled, avoid this topic! EVERYTHING I discover will be added in.
Coverage begins as soon as I wake up and head out on October 17... Around 7:30 AM. I will use my mobile Wi-Fi as I hunt the stores- so this post will be updated as soon as I find ANYTHING new!

I'm actually SO jealous that Australia gets it soon, so please Nibelilt, ¡¡UPGRADES FIRST!!

Upgrade Priority is Fright, Chill, Pop Fizz, Crusher, Swarm, Bouncer, in that order... It may come immediately if the upgrades can be seen right away. I will also check the S2s for Pow Wows.

If anyone has any detail requests- now is the time to ask!

But yeah, now that I know that my EB Games is taking instore preorders for individual figures I don't need to worry about day one hunting. So I can go to K-Mart at 8, I'll get whatever I need from there, my mum will drop me back home (perfect time to strike for Sprocket merch stealers ) and I will cover the game straight from then, and she will go to the stores to get any other exclusives/get everything other from EB.

Keep in mind there is still a chance I will do a full blown hunt just because I think it's fun, and I have a more keen eye, but I'm leaning ever so slightly towards that choice. If everyone could give your feedback on which option you'd prefer, I'd appreciate it.

Would you like option one where I hunt with her, for better coverage but a bit of a wait on information from the actual game, or would you like option two, somewhat sooner game coverage, but with no instore experience coverage?

Specifically, K-Mart opens at 8- an hour sooner than everywhere else- and is about ten minutes away.

I'm also taking my iphone with me here in canada on release day. I'm going to video what stores i'm going to in order, and the characters i see and what i buy. I'll be posting it on my youtube channel, then i'll post a link on the forums

Remember how I'm buying the PS3 Bundle? Yeah? Big W says that if they unload their truck the night before the street release date, I can go there and buy it outright. So coverage could start on the SIXTEENTH. Don't know if they'll unload the other figures and packs at the same time, but if it does come early- and I will go just to check- I will open and play it on my PS3 ASAP.

Tomorning is as if by magic coincidence one of the all nighters in my sleeping pattern so I can sleep tomorrow and then just stay up as long as I want playing Giants. Yay for insomnia solutions that have uses in real life... Ahahahah!

So mah plan is nailed down...
K-Mart. They open first so it can't hurt checking them for an exclusive. Straight to Toys"R"Us for their exclusives. Then the Target next to Toys"R"Us, and the Big W next to that, both to check for exclusives. JB Hi-Fi across the road is next for Wii Starter and Glow Fright Rider, then the JB Hi-Fi in another area for a ditto just with a 3DS Starter and standard Dragonfire Cannon. And finally, the trip culminates in me going to the Target next to my home to see if they have anything special, then lastly, EB Games for my Pack preorders.

P.S. I plan to just put info up in posts when I get the game THEN edit it into the OPs, so I WILL multi post, and I don't give a nut.

No... You know what, guys? If you all want to break the street date, then screw coverage. It frustrates me because other than Glow Fright Rider, we get NOTHING worthwhile for Skylanders here, but you have to go into your handy dandy Walmarts because you're too impatient to wait a freakin week for the game to come out where you live. I think if you're all that impatient for it you don't really deserve this topic. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be enjoying the game.
Now that concludes the tour of the part of my brain filled and feuled by anger and destruction. Be grateful that you didn't die because that was really one of the calm parts.
