Possible portal mod idea [CLOSED]

So, with the Giants portals all being wired, and the Spyro's Adventure portals draining batteries like crazy, I'm thinking of modding mine to use a rechargeable battery.
Has anyone done this? I'd like to really work things out before I have to buy a new portal.

EDIT: by rechargeable battery, I mean to make it so I can plug it into a USB charger or something

It would be nice to get rid of Xbox Portal wire. It's short and I can't be in my comfy place and play the game in peace, which kinda sucks... smilie Someone make a mod for this!

This is not so easy as in this instance Activision has not licensed Microsoft's proprietary wireless protocol so any solution would either need to do so or act as the transport layer and have some form of wireless adapter.

they make USB extension cables. they can be really long and arent very expensive. how far away are you from your comfy space? 360 portal's cable is pretty long, its at least like 6 feet isnt it?

When I play on the wii, I'm normally about 12-15 feet away from the console
