[Why must you guys just stop while it was getting moar excitinggggg]

"Oooh great!"Kevin wondered why Ezio hadn't told him about it..or maybe he just forgot that he did tell him.
"I hate sewers and catacombs and dungeons and stuff..." he muttered after a bit of walking.

The next thing she knew, Umbra was falling from her saddle; somehow she had kept her attacker from sticking a knife in her back, but just barely. Now the two were rolling in the dust, Umbra grimacing with the effort it took to hold back her adversary's wrist.

Umbra couldn't move to get her own dagger from her belt, and at the moment the last thing on her mind was that she could Shout. It was up to Ezio.

The attacker, evidently a woman by the scream she let out, faltered just long enough for Umbra to throw her off and draw her dagger. The people who had been milling about the streets had stopped to watch - partly in horror and partly in interest. The woman in black had already jumped to her feet. Her whole body was hidden by black garments, but for the moment that mattered not to Umbra. She bared her teeth - unchanged by her general transformation - and waited for her adversary to make another move. Or for Ezio to finish her off. Whichever came first, she decided.

Umbra tensed, gripping her dagger til her knuckles turned white.

The woman sneered behind her mask. "Your death," she replied simply, and attempted to plunge her own dagger into Ezio's stomach.

The crowd had long since dispersed there was no telling when the city guard would be there. "Akatosh, Arkay, Julianos..." Umbra rambled off the names of the Divines as she rushed to Ezio's side, spitting on the woman as she did so. "How bad is it?"

Umbra put her hand over Ezio's, the one holding his stomach. "Damn... We need to get away from here, fast. Do you know anywhere to get medical attention?"

Umbra returned his gaze with one of determination. "I will get you there," she said. "You will not die, Ezio. Just tell me where to go."

"Gol, Mulaag," Umbra muttered, the Dov words for 'earth' and 'strength', and though not an actual Shout, all dragon words were magical, and thus Umbra was temporarily imbued with the power of the earth. Effortlessly - and gently - she picked Ezio up and hoisted him onto his horse, then, after tying the reins of her own horse to Ezio's, jumped into the saddle in front of him. "Which way?" she asked.

Umbra swallowed, her throat feeling swollen, and spurred the horse forward. "I'll try not to jar you too much, but we must get there quickly," she murmured. Both horses broke into a trot and they were off, headed north as Ezio said.

Umbra did as she was told, and eventually they arrived at their destination. Ezio, it seemed, was hanging on only by a thread. She helped him from the saddle and slowly but surely made it inside... It seemed desolate. "Ezio... where do I go?"

"Right..." she muttered. "S-stay with me... we've made it this far." Alas, the two made it inside, and Umbra was relieved to see more people, and all with the white robes of the Assassins. She didn't even need to speak before a few of them came rushing over asking what was wrong, as they had recognized a fellow Assassin, and an injured one at that. After a brief explanation, they ushered Ezio away for treatment, leaving Umbra by her lonesome, but nothing new.

Umbra felt tears welling in the corners of her eyes - she couldn't help it. No matter where I go... what I do... those I love are always threatened. "Damn it!" she said out loud, though no one seemed to hear. I was better off alone... no one could hurt me that way. But I can't return to that life now... Oh, Ezio, don't die on me. She turned and went back outside, and laid down on a pile of hay near the castle wall. Had the circumstance not been so dire, she would have appreciated the grand fortress and its architecture.

[Seems the best course of action.]

Umbra had fallen asleep in the haystack and was awoken to a dark-skinned Assassin with a friendly face looming over her. "Hello, miss," he said with a heavy accent. "I could have provided you with a much comfier bed." He chuckled. Umbra grunted. "It's fine," she muttered. "How is-," she started, but the young man waved the question away, as he had expected it. "Come and see for yourself..." He turned and began walking away, and Umbra jumped up to follow.

After a while walking, Kevin and Dalazer arrived to the Dark Brotherhood's hideout. "So, what have you been planning my friends?" Dalazer asked from his followers.
One of the members of the Dark Brotherhood, The Speaker of this hideout walked over to them. "Templars are planning to have a party in here Venice, we were thinking of storming in there and killing them."
Dalazer shook his head. "Too risky, I have better plan." After saying this, he whistled. Many assassins came after them, carrying barrels full of gunpowder and other kind of flamable and explosive stuff.

Umbra was led into the building and up a few flights of stairs. Damn, she thought. I don't care how fit I am, I will never like stairs. Finally, they stopped at a door, and the Assassin motioned for her to enter. Umbra nodded to him and stepped into a dark room - Ezio's room. Quiet as ever, she approached him. Divinves... is he dead?

Umbra sat down on the edge of the bed and took his hand in hers. She gazed at him sadly. Get well soon, my dear, she wished silently.

OOC: *eats popcorn* Desmond, do you hear me?

OOC: I believe this woman Ezio is with, might be the woman Ezio marries, so that means you are kind of half-ish lizard, Desmond. XD

OOC: Well, as seeing Umbra used to be Argonian...

Umbra smiled at him, more relieved than he could know. "Hello, Ezio," she said softly.

[-hissss- HELLO, MY SON. ]

[Yesssss. -flicks tongue-]

"You got stabbed," she answered simply. "Apparently the blade had something pretty potent on it," she added, remembering the time in Skyrim when he was stabbed in the same place, and that didn't seem to have bothered him as much.

[WTH, I did it again. Logged in exactly a minute after you posted. I swear to the heavens I'm not a stalker... psychic, maybe... but not a stalker. ]

A smile tugged at the edge of Umbra's lips. She eased her hand out from under his and slowly stood, then walked over to the window and peered out. She had a clear view of the surrounding landscape, and it was beautiful. I hope our mission wasn't anything too awfully urgent, she thought. If it was then we have surely failed.

Umbra had somehow fallen asleep in a chair in the corner of the room, and the next thing she knew, a new day had dawned.
