If not an icon, dark, is there any chance you could make the username links for males blue, the username links for females red, and for the people who have hidden their gender orange or black or something?

I was thinking of having the icon next to the name. But Nibelilt idea sounds fine as well.

I think the idea of having color username may stand out too much.
But I'm not complaining.

Maybe the different coloured usernames would be a bit to standout.
Ah, how about next to the Online status, and when they're offline, just the gender icon is there?

The only problem with them next to usernames is really long ones like SpyroGalNicoleX would make the page stretch. Not that I wouldn't prefer that to nothing...

Actually, the usernames are all already blue, and I don't think that red would stand out more, SoI vote for BigBoom's option now.
