I think that the "variants" are nothing more then just a power like Alchemist can turn into Alchabeast.

That makes sense. But, I can't see Ninjini, a Giant who protected Skylands, turning into Dark Ninjini.

There's no Alchemist, there's Pop Fizz, they changed the name a while ago!

But, I don't think they gave her the name Dark Ninjini, so much as that's an assumption by other people.

Whirlwind's art could be a new Wow-Pow power - COULD. Ninjini's alternate color could be just like Prism Breaks alternate paths, where it's either yellow or green crystals. Same with Hot Dog. Depending on the upgrade path, he could change colors.

For Hot Dog I think its either an upgrade path or when he shots his fire balls he becomes yellow. For Whirlwind I think it's her Wow-pow because on the giants website its "winter whirlwind" on the page.

Well we've seen a Redjini/Darkjini and a Light blue and Dark blue Crusher but ya never know, it might just be ingame reward skins for completing stuff
(Hopefully they wont be figure variants as well although I saw an interview with someone Skyladers related that was important that said 'there'll be new types of variants'

Elder Elementals

maybe there is a chance to unlock the light skin or the dark skin. Kinda like choosing the path we want to specialise in.

Could be referring to the lightcore technology. It might have been an idea at the beginning, and they thought it would only work in larger figures. Just a guess.

The Elder Elementals had power over light and darkness, so I guess since the Giants are the Elders, they can do that?

^ That or the Elder Elementals could be a new race of giants or as the name somewhat suggests, a new element that each Giant is (like how there are Giants of the fire, water, earth, ect. elements, there could be two new Giants of the "Darkness" and "Light" elements). That's my theory, but there's still a possibility that the current Giants could possess "powers of Light and Darkness in their flesh".

Dark Blue Crusher has his own art unlike Prismancer Prism Break. Just wanna make sure that sinks in.
