1. Desktop background
This is real easy. Just download the background of your choice (will upload backgrounds in a bit) and then go to here for Windows 7
Control Panel>Customize>Desktop Background
For mac: Hold down Control>Click>Use Image as Desktop Picture

Hey! Just finished the new skylanders and giants! Will make icons soon, but for now, I'm tired.

Just Tiny Pic and resize!

Go to tinypic.com and choose the pic then go to resize and make it big.

Also, made a skylanders paint icon, will upload later. I just need to know a good icon converter.

Neat. I tend to change the screensaver and sounds too when I'm going for a themed desktop. Of course, sounds won't be available until Giants come out

Don't forget you can Skylandify Mozilla.
Step 1: Download the Canvas add-on.
Step 2: Create background.
Step 3: Set with Canvas.
Viola.
Predictably, mine is Sprocket.
I actually didn't set a Sprocket desktop background. Mine is still set to a Legend of Spyro background that one of my best friends, convexity_spyro, made for me a couple of years ago.
But even if I wanted one, DinoHex already screencapped one.

I use Chrome but thanks for the heads up .

And were can you download it? My chrome is down.

^ If you don't mind me asking, how do you create these backgrounds using Google Chrome? On the Skylanders Giants website, it doesn't give me an option to "save image as" when I right click it (only as an html). Thanks, in advance =)!

No. I don't remeber the exact topic, but not their except Chill.

And I got Eye-Brawl from your topic.

I found out finally how to save a higher resolution version of the image =) but you have to understand html format.

Here's the easiest way to save the image directly (this should work for most browsers, I'm using Google Chrome):

1. Go to the character's page on the Giant's website that you want

2. right click the background with the character and select "inpect element"

3. be careful not to change any of the html data and select and look for a set of coding that has the word "background"
used in it often along with your characters name:

It should look similar to this (minus the bold):

<div class="content" style="background-image" (ignore the link, I didn't want it to be linked and it doesn't work):

url(http://www.skylanders.com/cont.../new-character-backgrounds/character-background-whirlwind.jpg); background-position: 50% 50%;
background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; ">

4. select this encoding group by clicking it and it should bring up data to the right of the list

5. right click the link under "background:" and select "open link in new tab" or you could choose for it to open in a new window:

6. right click the image that opens in the new tab/window and select "save image as"

7. save the image

8. Congratulations, you now have a new image background =)!

Good luck everyone and I hope this helps =)! Remember to not change the html/url data within the "inspect element"
because it can make some things not load proberly on your computer while viewing that page so No Touchy the
original HTML Encoding! I'm not held responsible if something goes wrong; You've Been Warned!
