I've been thinking of a Skylanders 3 idea in which the gimmick is combining elements. I was thinking new characters would have 3 elements and remodels would have a third upgrade path which combined two elements. Note the new path would replace the special ability. All I need from you is to tell me if you like that idea, or if you think it would be best to just have two elements in one character and keep the special, or if you have a different idea.

last week i was thinking about the possibility of skylanders 3's new characters being multi-element. Have at least 8 new characters each being half and half, could be cool.

Nah, I don't really like it, I think it'd just be too complex with the way Elemental Advantages are now, I mean imagine a Water/Fire/Magic character against a Fire/Air/Undead character- Elemental Advantages are already essentially hax as it is, so unless the system got a massive overhaul, which still wouldn't be worthwhile because it doesn't affect gameplay very much, it'd be pretty pointless and unbalanced.

It could work, because you would have to go back to the upgrade station to change paths, so you could still only use one element at a time.

i have a good idea for the 3rd game
they could make story levels where they have to save every skylanders home (e.g. wham-Shell's kingdom)

I like the idea a little, but more like this, you could combine attacks! A blast of fire from Sunburn with a ice cube from Slam Bam would give a fire cube that would dealt damage from whoever got close to it.

But that wouldn't work in Single mode, and multiplayer mode lets you do basically that just by attacking at the same time.
