I am wondering if there will be Crystal Clear, Gold, Silver and GITD variants for Flashwing, Fright Rider, Jet-Vac and Thumpback

They probably wont be the current ones but new ones. Plus this needs to go into the giants thread. They already have 1 variant announced. GITD Cynder. Now close and repost in giants section please

Actually, by rights, this is the correct forum for talk on variants as it is the toys and merch forum. Theoretically, the SG forum is for talk about the game (just like the SSA forum is about the game when the toys component got split off into its own forum).

Anyway, don't forget about the new Gold Flameslinger.

Activision have stated that the variants will be "cooler" this time around so I would not expect just the same concepts (silver, clear, etc) repeated but new variant types (rainbow?).

Hopefully we'll be seeing some new variants like a Clear Kiwi or Aqua color

Although it's hard to say with just one single variant, I think it might be a really great idea for them to release the characters that had the variants in the first game AGAIN for Giants (but more readily, and in their S2 poses)

So, Silver Eruptor (S2 or ideally the LC version) Dino-Rang and Boomer (who will both have to be in the original versions, but in Giants packaging)
Gold Drill Sarge, Chop Chop and Flameslinger (who all coincidentally have S2 variants)
GiTD Wrecking Ball, Zap (both have S2 variants) and Warnado (same as Silver dino/booms- regular in Giants packaging)
Crystal Whammy (original in Giants pack) and Cynder and Stealth (both have S2 variants)


IDEALLY, any giants variants should show up different in game. like furreal.

Theres already been a Gold Flameslinger for giants sold as an Amazon exclusive or something so I'm pretty sure they will make variants for Giants yes. This is a clear indication of that.

Hopefully more gold ones and gitd ones

I would love to have a crystal clear variant too
