Not bad extras for a game not solely designed for the platform. Well done VV...

That said, still not enough incentive to get me to buy a Wii U, sorry.

I'm very curious about this "Drag and drop" the characters. So we're able to just pick them up and throw them somewhere?

I think ideally it'd be AMAZING if there was some sort of menu that allowed you to switch to another character in game without having to place the character on the portal. (So like, a menu with the other characters you can pull open and summon without putting the physical figure on the portal)

Care to explain? Having a in game menu to select a character would me much more faster than me (and I'd be willing to guess a vast majority of other players) having to get up, grab the thing, and go back to the portal.

You'd obviously have to register the character first but outside of that, I can't see how that couldn't be anything than a win-win...

The drag and drop character swap would make the physical gimic of the game unnecessary. For my kids, that was the main hook that drew them to the game, if all you have to do is register the character once, then it becomes something akin to the Skylanders Universe process.

I just get a magical feeling when I switch Skylanders, plus I have a cabinet exactly the size to fit a portal and 8 Skylanders,so I don't have to get up and walk over to a coffee table

I agree with both sides on this.
While I would PREFER to just tap to switch, that would take away what was pretty much the only thing I enjoyed about the game particularly.
Plus, the general audience would become confused and think that it wasn't an option any more. Look at the Amazon review for the 3DS version that complains you "don't need" the figures after setting them down... smilie

Well I would assume they'd still have the portal option there, just like Universe as well. Just that the Wii U version has the added ability to drag and drop the characters into the game.

Like I said though, I'm really interested in what they're doing with that phrase. I mean, just moving on the touch screen is kind of dumb because then you can't see the enemies and stuff..
