Skylanders Giants of course has multi-platform releases, but the 3DS version will once again be a completely different game than the console ones. So my question to you is which game will you be buying first? The 3DS game, or the console game? Will you get them both at the same time? Will you be getting the starter pack or the Portal owner's pack?

They're too expensive to get both AND the wave 1 figures I want, so I'll be buying the 3DS game first. I bought the 3DS version of S:SA before the console game, so I'll do that again. (And also I ended up liking the 3DS game better anyways) As for which skew, I'll probably buy the portal owners pack. I don't really care about Punch Pop Fizz, (want the lightcore version of Pop-fizz) and I want the console starter pack because of Jet-Vac and the wired portal of power. Hopefully this time around I'll be able to erase character data without the console game. I wouldn't have even bought the console version of Spyro's Adventure if it weren't for that.

My day 1 shopping list will be

Skylanders Giants 3DS Portal Owner's pack
Bouncer
Sprocket (If she's available in wave 1 which a lot of signs point towards that being true)

2. Wii version and all new guys with maybe one repose

I plan on getting the 3DS version during launch and one of each figure type (LightCore, Giant, ect.) and the Wii U version when I get the Wii U on launch.

pekoponTAS/DinoHex/Brian this may sound crazy but i have a papper route job so i can afford it i'm going to buy every wave 1 charcter getting the 3ds and xbox360 version all in day 1 i have have both versions on preorder and 150$ saved up so far anyway plan to bring 300$ on day 1 i will be makeing videos and giving away some giants in my videos its crazy what these things do to my mind it forces me to buy them i cant help it

Hate to say it but $300 is not going to be enough I'm estimating $485 on first day wit two starter sets (I'll list the math on request). I am not sure personally I can make this investment and may choose to focus on figures instead of the console games on first day. I may also start with new figures and giants and go back and get series 2 and lightcore later. The pure expense of this endeavor is making tough choices.

Don't forget the price is higher in Aus.

I'll be buying both simeltainiously and whatever is out on day one. But I will play the 3DS version first. If this ends up being like last year, I probably won't even play the console version for days.

I already pre-ordered Skylanders Giants Portal Owners Pack with Tree Rex and is Jet-Vac also going to be as a single character pack? I'll be getting Jet-Vac, Thumpback, Chill, Flashwing, Hot Dog and Fright Rider
