They're not black on the figure, actually they are clear, they light up yellow, so presumably the yellow state is the lit state, which just doesn't occur in-game and white is the standard color.

I noticed that also and am under the assumption its to stress the lightcore faactor of Bouncer

its just the picture they are semi yellow till you put them on portal

I havent updated since I don't particularly care but I have gotten all the skylanders except varients only ones are glow Warnado and WERDS
