Automatic PM Welcome Message [CLOSED]

Since I noticed that most new users don't read the rules (or can't find them) when they first join on the forums, how about an idea of sending new members who just joined an automatic PM message with a:

Welcome to the smilie Forums!

If you need any help, go to the Help Files: //forum.darkspyro.net/spyro/help/

Please be sure to read the Forum Rules before you post: //forum.darkspyro.net/spyro/rules/

This is just an idea, that way new users will know where the Forum Rules and Help Files are before they even post on the message boards.

There isn't really a way to ensure absolutely every one will read it...

I know that, but at least it would help spread the word to the new users on where they could get the Skylanders icons, or how to add tags, and not to mention look at the forum rules. And if they ignore the message and just do something rule-breaking anyways and ask on the message boards in the wrong sections, at least the message sent them something important to look at.

Uhh! How about the rules page be before registering when someone clicks the register link? Click a button at the end of the page and be able navigate to the register page?

If that was possible, but some users just register on the forums anyways without reading the rules. Just like the case of some new users who just joined on the internet and think they can do whatever they want online with no rules.
