it says that hunter freed cynder and spyro from the crystal....it is also said that he was next to the crystal a few hours after the mountain of malefor was destroyed....SO WHY DIDNT HE FREE THEM THEN!? i like hunter but the only explaination in my eyes is that he was evil and turned good or something (maybe he was corrupted like spyro cause i remember the letter at fellmuth).

maybe he was thinking in the right moment to destroy the crystal...but how he survived in a destroyed moutain in these 3 years?

he was there at the begging and he frees them, im not saying he was there the entire time but at the end of TEN hunter is in the lower left corner.

Well, he might of went and told the Elders, or maybe he didn't know what to do.

I say the latter. You try trying to break open a crystal with steel arrows, or worse - bare hands.

I figure because breaking the crystal might've injured the three in it, he simply couldn't reach (there was a hell of a lot of rubble there), didn't know how to, or he told the guardians first.

...Or simply because it wasn't the right time!

I don't think he's evil. How do we know he didn't find them until after three years? I know it says that the game takes place after three years, but I defy all of you to show me where it says that they were trapped for three years. It is entirely possible that Hunter freed them in a short while, and they spent three years growing, gaining strength, and plotting how to take back the dragon kingdoms. Maybe while Spyro and Cynder were so weak, and the Elders were separate and unable to help eachother, Malefor took advantage of their vulnerable states, escaped Convexity, and plunged the world into darkness.

The interview said they were in the crystal the whole time.

I didn't find it anywhere, I'm just making educated guesses.

hunter was in capt. skabb's prison/ arena and sent a letter to spyro. spyro destroyed the ship forgeting hunter is still traped and the ship was above water so hunter passed out from the impact of the water then washed on shore the next day after the frezing spyro, cynder and sparx. hunter wakes up and goes looking for spyro after 3 years and finds them i think.
