It looks like The dark spyro arena tour exclusive maybe the rarest variant at the moment....it is not even on eBay yet!!!....only given out to VIP's and competition winners....my best pick up to date.....and I have manged to collect all the variants to date....so I'm thankful to god....what do you lot think?

Please provide some piccies - is it a variant or the standard Dark Spyro in packaging?

Cool, thanks - not a variant per se but a packaging alternative.

Unless these were given out in extremely limited quantities, i.e. <100, then i dont think it comes close to sealed 2011 E3 Gill Grunts, Spyros, Trigger Ha ppy.

I do, however think they are VERY cool though!

As MrSkylanderT stated they were only given to VIPs and lucky sods who managed to get the goodie bags at the current European Arena Tour. There's no indication of numbers on the packaging. As far as I'm aware fewer that 5 of these were given out at the Birmingham tour stop, and let's assume another five get given out at the other tour stops, that would make the 100-odd mark. Also bear in mind that the tour is aimed at children who will rip open the package at the first opportunity, making it worthless to collectors.

What also needs to be mentioned here is that this has not been seen on eBay yet......most of those who won these were children......and they probably did not have dark spyro themselves....so they would have opened it and disposed of the wrapping.....leaving this to be very rare to find intact in a box....buzzthebatgirl....was the one you received in good condition....it seems in your photo that the plastic was damaged???

That's how I recieved it. It looks more like a manufacturing error happening during the heating progess. The hard "bubble" plastic is warped, but still hard to the touch (take your mind out of the gutter ), it's also only on one side.

@Taco : Just paint Trigger Snappy's ear back in, or ring up Frito Lay and tell 'em you got a broken figure.

Personally,I think mispaints are 'special' Skylanders

I'd say... either pearl hex, dark spyro single, or chrome spyro.
