What do you think it would be like if Spyro were with Nintendo, I think it would be great! Adleast he'd get the attention he deserves (And no this isn't Nintendo owning Skylanders)

I like most of the Nintendo franchises, so I think a Spyro game made by Nintendo would be good. I'd imagine it won't be much different than the Insomniac Spyro games.

Spyro would probably be yet another popular Nintendo franchise. And I would finally be able to play as him in Super Smash Bros.

When I was a kid I used to make a lot of pictures in paint with sprites from the spriters resource. It used to be a lot of fun for some reason.

One, ACTUALLY EXISTENT, or two, be forgotten then get a kick-*** return like Kid Icarus.

One: Spyro actually gets his own games, unlikely being cheaply hurled into Skylanders.

Or two: He made a couple games, but then he was on hiatus for years until they brought him back awesomely.

(Two different scenarios if you were confused)

Spyro would probably be more popular in the east (read: Japan) than the west instead of it being the other way around. Also, if he was an in house Nintendo IP the art style would be a lot different that any of his iterations (much more cartoony). Also, he'd be a silent protagonist. In fact, there probably wouldn't be any voice acting or that many cutscenes. <.<

It would have been better than Mario. As in Japan, China and all those places, dragons are a great story there, and that Nintendo, Spyro outside would be a symbol for that country. Although Spyro being like Mario, (so to speak) is not very good. They are very different in their respective game universes. Although the only good thing there is that Spyro had had his own show. Just as the show of "Super Mario Brothers" and the show "Super Mario World". And Mario universe would have been a plot of "legend" and not the plot of "rescue."

Out of curiosity, how popular is/was Spyro over in Japan? I know the first two or three games and Skylanders were released there.

I probably wouldn't like Spyro as much because I don't own any Nintendo games at all, so in that case, it makes me appreciate that Spyro got created by Insomniac on the PlayStation a bit more.

And on the other hand, Nintendo doesn't really appeal to me.

It's just that Spyro was a part of my childhood, and so happens to be PlayStation as well, and that was it.

Skylanders actually isn't out in Japan yet as far as I know, but otherwise, only STD, RR, SoI and Fusion came out there... It mustn't have been very known if even YoTD didn't get out.

I always heard there was this apparent 'demo' with japanese spyro 3 where in that mysterious part with dino mines has a crocodile like boss >.>.
on topic: if nintendo got in charge: it would still upset the fans and spyro would have another reboot, but it would be more cartoony or it would be like zelda, oh who knows

If Spyro was made by Nintendo, he wouldn't be getting so many reboots and he would be more popular, since Nintendo doesn't screw around with their games. However, Spyro games will come out much more slowly.

Then Insomniac would not have been the ones that created Spyro and they would have gone out of business after Disruptor.
