Has anyone heard anything about Mega Blocks making Skylanders: Giants themed sets? The site said they would be coming out "in the fall" but there wasn't a more specific release date. Has anyone heard anything else about this?

I saw them when they announced it a couple months ago. I would have expected to see something more on it by now. I know my son was pumped they were making Skylanders toys he could actually "play" with.

Yeah, that's why I'm excited about it too, I'd love to have a set of the characters I could actually pose without a base! (without cutting them up to modify them like Jin's)

I wonder if they're going to make figures of all the characters, or just the most popular ones?

They'll probably coordinate the release but most have nothing to buy for their collections right now so it seems like it would be a great time...

I'm guessing that they'll stick with the popular characters because there is probably very little re-use of parts available across the line, meaning they'll have to create many unique molds for each figure. Any character with multiple variants is probably more likely to be made also. They show Spyro, so they can reuse those molds for Dark Spyro and Legendary Spyro.

Following that logic, Bash, Chop Chop, Trigger Happy, Ignitor, and Slam Bam are more likely to make it. I hope they make all the Giants as there are only 8.

In the following video, they talk of gaming accessories (as well as other expo related stuff) and at 0:38 you see a shot of SG Megabloks.
