I keep rereading, but I still don't get it. Isn't "a portal, Jet-Vac, Series 2 Cynder and extras" worth $15 more? Especially if you can theoretically sell the portal for 5 bucks or whatever on eBay and Jet-Vac theoretically is $15 by itself.

i going to get the starter kit as i need a new portal but just for the extra cynder and the new jet vac by itself is a extra 20 might as well buy the starter kit and save 5

Depends if Jet-Vac and Cynder also can be bought sold seperately.

You mean you're doing booster?

Are we sure about Cynder? And will the "lightcore" jet-vac be sold seperately. Sure, you can get other copies of these characters, but can you get that exact figure? We don't know that for sure.

I am personally doubting that we will see a single release for series 2 Cynder. (not buying ToyWiz as a credible source)

The german amazon leak indicated a lightcore JetVac as well as both a single and triplepack release for Pop-Fizz

Whether or not I buy the starter pack over the booster pack depends on if the Portal for the Wii version of Giants has been fixed to not drain batteries so quickly. I'd gladly shell out for the starter pack if the Portal has a longer battery life. If not, I'll just get the booster since the only new character I REALLY want is Bouncer.

I think since they're giving the choice of not getting any regular figures (except for Tree Rex), they'll be available in some form separately.
Tree Rex on the other hand might be a game exclusive... but of course nothing has been confirmed yet.

I personally think the starter pack is a better deal, especially if you want both of the toys anyway. If they do make wired portals for the Wii/PS3 ones this time, that'd be another big plus.

Until we know for certain what will and wouldn't be available as singles/triple packs, it makes more sence to pay the extra few quid and have two extra figures. With the cost of singles rising to $15/£10, you might as well pay that extra on the starter pack to get Cynder Series 2 and Jet Vac/Pop Fizz. You can always sell/customize what you don't want/use.

I just hope that Pop Fizz will be available to get somewhere on launch day other than in the 3Ds starter. Otherwise I'm hunting for whatever I can find on launch day :]

With the news on Red (Punch) Pop Fizz in the 3DS Starter, I know which pack I'll be pre-ordering and buying on launch. I own a 3DS and Wii for what it's worth.

Yes, this locks in my decision to get the Starter version of 3DS for my kids, maybe we'll hold out for the LC version and skip the regular now.

speaking of starter vs booster i need help decideing i want to get the starter so u can get cynder but i dont know what to do with jet-vac because i really dont want him and i cant sell him of ebay or somthing cause im not old enough

I'll end up with an extra S2 Cynder with the Starter packs my kids and I will be getting for 3DS and Xbox 360 so I can help on that.

I preordered the booster pack already, but now I'm thinking it would be worth it to fork over another $15 to get the new portal as well as series 2 cynder and Jet-Vac.

There is still too much overlap between the 3DS and Console Starter packs. The Punch Pop Fizz is cool but that was already the only difference between the two, console has Jet Vac and 3DS had what was originally thought as regular Pop Fizz. Cynder and Tree Rex are still over lapping.

Even buyers of both a console and 3DS owners pack are going to end up with 2 Tree Rex's. They were much more friendly to customers of both console/3DS for SA. Ignitor being in the 3DS starter was a HUGE bonus as he wasn't released as a single for many months after launch.

Just keep Jet Vac. Or really, I'd say to use him..he looks pretty cool. Worst comes to worst you could sell him at a garage sale or have your parents list it on ebay or craigslist.
