I can't get the portal software to load. I download it, run the installer and it says it's installed correctly yet when I go to plug and add Skylanders it tells me my portal software was not installed properly. The weird thing is when I install it my terminal pops up. No response from Activision. Anyone else have problems with a Mac.

What is your portal? I mean, from which console is it?

I had problems with my portal at first too. But managed to fix it in the end, though I don't remember how...
Now I had to wipe my mac and reinstall this summer, thus the same problem again.
First I downloaded and installed, then I was prompted to do it again cause they noticed it was the new portal from Giants.

In the end I gave up and registered my new characters with codes.... Hope someone has any ideas =)

I have three portals:
3DS, bugged. Sent it to repair but they didn't do anything.... Skylanders load up in the air, not on the surface, and does not work at all with a computer/mac.
Wii Generation 1 and 2. Love that they have a cord now! I bough the full version just to get rid of the batteries! =D

Which portal do you have, Skylanders Spyro's Universe, or Skylander's Giants. Also which platform was the portal purchased for? Have you already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver?

Yea, I uninstalled and reinstalled about 5 different times trying a bunch of different settings in security etc.. I primarily tried the Wii SSU portal but do have the 3DS as well. I never even get a chance to plug it in because as soon as I click ok the portal driver is downloaded it gives me the error that it didn't load properly. I have now contacted Activision 2 or 3 times on this and they have not gotten back to me yet... Website help says download this new portal driver for mac only no download just PC

When you are uninstalling the driver is the portal connected to the PC or you remove the portal then uninstall?

No I believe the portal is not connected because it never gets that far it tells me it isn't installed. I assume the driver is on the Mac only and doesn't necessarily transfer or load on the portal. Is this incorrect?
