Well i thought that because the DM is free and THREE years pass untill cynder and spyro get out of the chrystal that you might have to save them from bosses like in ANB

I don't know about that... I would think that if Malefor has been free for three years the first thing he would do is take the Guardians prisoner, force them into a very secret hiding place, or kill them. Since we all know they are alive, it must be one or the other. Either way there will probably be something you have to do before seeing them again, even if it is just travelling from the Mountain of Malefor to the temple.

Well we didn't hear what happened to the guardians after they took off to the other lands so it might be possible.

Interesting idea.. but I'm hoping that they're either fighting, or dead. Not hostages. *rolls eyes*

Well I doubt their dead... But they probably wouldn't replay the hostage situation so maybe their just scattered around for the moment.

Maybe not hostage but just seperated form each other hiding so it will
be less difficult for the Dark Master or Destoyer to find them. Or they could have just gotten seperated for who knows how.

But like Shrazer320 suggested I think they are just fighting...Well sorta.
