Yeah, this is my Pokemon Fan-Fiction.
This is based in Kanto, 5 years after Red beat the Pokemon League.

CHAPTER 1: STARTER POKEMON

Dan woke up. "Today is the day! The day I start my Pokemon Journey!"
He looked at the clock. Still one more hour untill Professor Oak was expecting the new trainers.
"Who will I choose..." Dan wondered. "Bulbasaur. Squirtle. Charmander. They're all great choices."

KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK

The door was knocking. Dan ran downstairs and opened it. A boy his age was standing there.
"Hey Steve, why are you here?" Dan asked.
"Are you ready to go to Oak's lab to get our starter Pokemon?" Steve asked.
"Yeah!" Dan cheered. "But I still haven't decided who I'll pick yet."
"Me neither, but I can't wait!" Steve replied. "Let's go! We'll get the better ones if we get there first!"
Dan nodded. They both ran off, out to the edge of Pallet Town.

They ran upto Professor Oak's Lab. A girl, the same age as them, was standing outside.
"Oh. Looks like we might not get the best choice." Steve said.
The girl turned around. "Oh, hey Danny. Hey Steve. Bet you guys couldn't wait either."
"Hey Hannah. And no, we couldn't." Danny replied.
"This is why I wanted to get here sooner." Steve said. "So I could pick the better one..."
"Stop complaining Steve." Hannah said. "Just be grateful you're getting a Pokemon."
"Yeah, there are plenty of people out there who don't even go on Journeys." Dan added.
"Yeah, guess so." Steve replied.

The door to the lab opened. Professor Oak walked out. At first, he didn't notice Dan, Steve, and Hannah, and instead picked up a newspaper. He walked back inside and closed the door.
"Uh..." Steve said. "What was that about? He didn't even notice us!"
The door opened again. Oak rushed out. "Why are you three here?"
"For our Starter Pokemon." Dan replied.
"THAT WAS TODAY?!?" Oak screamed. "GAH! I HAVEN'T GOT ANYMORE!"
"What?!?" Steve shouted. "Not a single one left?"
Oak thought. "Well... I COULD call Professor Elm. He might have some spare... Anyway, come on in."
All four walked in.

Dan, Steve, and Hannah sat down.
"I'll just call him now." Oak said, picking up the phone. "Hello Elm? It's Oak. I was wondering if you had any spare starter pokemon. I didn't remember to pick up enough. Great! Thanks. Bye."
He put down the phone.
Three Pokeballs came through the transporter.
Oak picked them up and threw them. Three pokemon came out.

"Who are these Pokemon?" Hannah asked.
"The Fire Mouse Pokemon, Cyndaquil. The Big Jaw Pokemon, Totodile. And the Leaf Pokemon, Chikorita." Oak replied. "Who's taking first picks then?"
All three of them stood there, staring at the three Pokemon they've never seen before.
"Yeah, they might not be what normal trainers start with, but its either these, or wait another few weeks." Oak said. "So, who's picking first?"

Dan stepped forward. "I guess I am."
He walked upto the three Pokemon. He looked at them. "Uh... Cyndaquil, I guess."
Cyndaquil smiled, and ran up on Dan's shoulder. "Cynda!"

"I guess I'll take Chikorita!" Hannah said. "Steve, you can take Totodile."
"Naturally I get the toughest one." Steve bragged.
Oak nodded. "Good! Here are you starter pokeballs."
He handed them the Pokemon's pokeballs.
He walked upto the desk. He picked up three Pokedex's. One red, one blue, one pink.
He gave Dan the red one, Steve the blue one, and Hannah the pink one.
"That is your Pokedex. It will tell you about all the Pokemon in this land." Oak said. He gave them each six pokeballs. "And your Pokeballs. They are used to catch pokemon."

"Great! I'm off then." Steve said, running off with Totodile.
"Just like Steve to run off like that." Dan said. "Anyway, I'd beter be off too."
He walked outside.

Hannah ran after him. "Wait Dan! Let's have a battle first!"

CHAPTER 2: BATTLE AT THE LAB!

"Cyndaquil, I choose you!" Dan cried.
Cyndaquil jumped off his shoulder, onto the battle field.
"Chikorita, go!" Hannah said.
Chikorita ran into the battle field.

Oak stood at the side. "This should be interesting."

"Cyndaquil, use Tackle!" Dan commanded.
Cyndaquil ran into Chikorita with a powerful tackle attack.
Hannah thought. "Ok Chikorita, use Growl to lower it's attack!"
Chikorita let out a growl. Cyndaquil heard it and covered his ears.
"Now use tackle!" Hannah said.
Chikorita tried to tackle Cyndaquil.
"Leer!" Dan said.
Cyndaquil let out a light. Chikorita was briefly blinded, and missed.
"Now that the accuracy is lowered, use Tackle to finish this!" Dan said.
Cyndaquil charged full power at Chikorita.
Chikorita fainted.

"Chikorita is unable to battle! Cyndaquil is the winner!" Oak said.
"Chikorita, return." Hannah sadly said.
"Don't feel bad Hannah." Dan said. "Both Pokemon were equally strong."
"Yeah, I guess." Hannah replied. "Anyway, I'm off. See ya!"
Hannah ran off.

Oak sighed. "Well, I was going to give the task to all three of you, but it's just going to have to be you Dan."
"What is it?" Dan asked.
"I want you to gather data on all Pokemon in this land." Oak replied. "I don't want to give you too much trouble, but that Pokedex has information on all Pokemon in found in Kanto and Johto. I need you to collect data on them. You can do this by scanning them with your Pokedex."

Dan took out his Pokedex. He scanned Cyndaquil.
Cyndaquil's picture appeard on the Pokedex screen. "Cyndaquil, the Fire Mouse Pokemon. It has a timid nature. If it is startled, the flames on its back burn more vigorously."
A Pokeball mark appeared next to it's name.

"That means you have caught it." Oak said. "Catching will give much data, but I understand you can't catch all the Pokemon, so seeing them all will do."
Dan nodded. "Ok. See all Pokemon, beat all Gyms. Seems easy enough."
"Good. I'll check up on your data once you reach Viridian City." Oak said. "Maybe you should go see my grandson while you're there. He runs the Gym. I'm sure he can give you tips on completing your Pokedex."
"Ok. Later Oak!" Dan shouted, running off into Route 1.

CHAPTER 3: SPEAROW ATTACK!

Dan and Cyndaquil walked into Route 1.
"Cyndaquil... That name seems kinda long." Dan said. "Mind if I call you Volcanic instead?"
"Cynda!" Cyndaquil cheered. He liked the name.
"Great!" Dan cheered. "Come on Volcanic, let's see if we can catch a more Pokemon!"
"Quil, Cynda!" Volcanic cheered.

A bird Pokemon flew past them.
"Who's that Pokemon?" Dan asked. He took out his Pokedex.
"Spearow, the Tiny Bird Pokemon." The Pokedex said. "It flaps its small wings busily to fly. Using its beak, it searches in grass for prey."
"Let's catch it!" Dan cheered. "Volcanic, Ember!"

Volcanic ran upto the Spearow and used Ember.
The Spearow stared at them. It then attacked both of them with Aerial Ace.
"Ow, what's wrong?" Dan asked.
"Spearow are known for their bad tempers." Pokedex added.
"Ow, now you tell me." Dan complained.
The Spearow then knocked out Volcanic.
Dan took out Volcanic's Pokeball. "Return!"
Spearow used Razor Wind. Dan dropped the Pokeball. A crack appeared in the button.

Dan picked the Pokeball back up. It wouldn't open.
He scooped Volcanic into his arms. "Don't worry, I'll get you to the Pokemon Center."
He ran off. Spearow followed.
"Spear, Spearow!" it cried.


They reached a cliff. There was a lake below it.
"Let's find another way around." Dan said.
Spearow used Drill Run. It knocked Dan and Volcanic off the edge of the cliff.

SPLASH!

A young girl was sitting by the lake. She wore a black dress.
"What was that?" she asked herself.
She ran up to the water. Dan climbed out, he was still holding Volcanic.
"Are you two alright?" she asked.
Dan coughed out some water. "Yeah. Could you tell us the quickest way to Viridian City?"
She nodded. "Just keep heading that way." She pointed to the left.
"Thanks." Dan replied.

The Spearow flew over to them.
"Gah!" Dan cried. He ran off. Spearow followed.
The girl watched. "I think he might need some help."
She followed.

CHAPTER 4: VIRIDIAN CITY

Dan continued running.
Spearow attacked him with another Drill Run.
Dan fell over.

The girl ran over to them. She threw a Pokeball.
A Marill came out.
"Marill, Water Gun!" she cried.
Marill ran up to the Spearow and attacked with a Water Gun attack.

Dan took out his Pokedex.
"Marill, the Aquamouse Pokemon." Pokedex said. "The oil-filled end of its tail floats on water. It keeps Marill from drowning even in a strong current."

"Go." the girl said. "Get him to the Pokemon Center."
Dan nodded. He picked up Volcanic and ran away.

Dan had made it into Viridian City.
"Yeah! Next stop, Pokemon Center." he cheered.
"Quiill..." Volcanic weakly said.

Dan ran into the city.

"Hold it!"
Dan stopped. "What?"
A woman with blue hair, and police uniform was standing there. "Why are you in a hurry?"
"I need to get to the Pokemon Center." Dan replied. "We were attacked by a Spearow and my partner is injured."
"How can I be sure that's your Pokemon though?" the woman asked.
Dan took out Volcanic's Pokeball. "This is his Pokeball. I couldn't put him back in, so I had to carry him."
"Alright." the woman replied. "I had to ask because Team Rocket had been sighted again, so I needed to make sure you weren't one of them."
"Uh... Can I go to the Pokemon Center now?" Dan asked.
"Oh, right. Sure." she replied. "I'm Officer Jenny by the way. If you ever have any problems, come see me."

Dan ran into the Pokemon Center. "Nurse Joy, can you help me out?"
A woman with pink hair, and nurse clothes looked at him. "What's the problem?"
"We were attacked by a Spearow, and my partner fainted." Dan replied.
Nurse Joy nodded. "Alright."

A Chansey walked in. She put Volcanic on a bed, and wheeled it into the next room.
Dan took out his Pokedex.
"Chansey, the Egg Pokemon." Pokedex said. "A kindly Pokémon that lays highly nutritious eggs and shares them with injured Pokémon or people."

Nurse Joy followed.
"Wait." Dan said. "You wouldn't have a way to fix broken Pokeballs, would you?"

CHAPTER 5: TEAM ROCKET

Dan sat in the waiting room. Luckily, the Pokemon Center had repaired the broken Pokeball.
"Maybe I should call Professor Oak..." he thought.

He ran into the phone room.
A boy was already in there. He turned around. "Oh, hey Dan. I wondered when you'd get here. Gramps told me to meet you here."
"Wait, are you the Gym Leader?" Dan asked.
The boy nodded. "Name's Blue. 5 years ago I started my journey."
"So, what is the best way to see all Pokemon?" Dan asked.
"Easy." Blue replied. "Take the Pokemon Gym Challenge. You'll see many places and Pokemon, and you'll be able to see how strong you get. I'd recommend starting off in Pewter City."

"Yes, that is the best way." Oak's voice said.
Dan looked at the phone. Professor Oak was already connected.
"Oh, hi Professor." Dan said.
"Hi Dan." Oak replied. "How many Pokemon have you seen?"
"Only four..." Dan replied.
"Don't worry, you've only just begun. It will take a while." Oak replied. A bell rang. "Oh, that must be the pizza guy. Sorry, I have to go. Bye."
The phone switched off.

Nurse Joy walked in with Volcanic. "He's all right."
Volcanic ran onto Dan's shoulder.
"Great!" Dan replied.

"Hello?"
Steve walked in. Totodile followed.
"Hey Steve." Dan said. He took out his Pokedex and scanned Totodile.
"Totodile, the Big Jaw Pokemon." Pokedex said. "It has the habit of biting anything with its developed jaws. Even its Trainer needs to be careful."
"There's an emergency!" Steve said. "Hannah was just attacked by a Grimer, and Chikorita was stolen!"
"It must be Team Rocket." Blue said. "Don't worry, I'll help get it back. Just lead the way."

They were outside the Pokemon Center. Hannah was sitting on the floor.
Dan, Volcanic, Steve, Totodile, and Blue ran over to her.
"Are you alright?" Dan asked.
"Yes, but I don't think Chikorita is." Hannah replied.
"Why would someone steal a Pokemon?" Steve asked.
"That's how Team Rocket are." Blue replied. "They might still be here now that I think about it..."

"You are correct. So now Prepare for trouble."
"And make it double."

A Grimer and Spinarak fell from the sky. A man with green hair, and a woman with yellow hair fell too.
"To infect the world with devestation, to blight all peoples in every nation." the woman said.
"To denounce the goodness of truth and love, to infect our wrath to the stars above." the man said.
"Cassidy!" the woman cried.
"And Butch of course." the man added.
"We're Team Rocket, circling Earth all day and all night!" Cassidy said.
"Surrender to us now or you will surely lose the fight!" Butch finished.

"If it isn't Cassidy and Butcher again." Blue said.
Butch stared at him. "You've known me for all these years. At least get my name right!"
"You'd better give Chikorita back!" Steve demanded.
"You'd better make us!" Cassidy replied.

CHAPTER 6: MIND CONTROL

Dan took out his Pokedex.
"Grimer, the Sludge Pokemon. It was born when sludge in a dirty stream was exposed to the moon's X-rays. It appears among filth." it said. "Spinarak, the String Spit Pokemon. It sets a trap by spinning a web with thin but strong silk. It waits motionlessly for prey to arrive."

"Both Poison types." Blue said. He threw a Pokeball.
A Rhydon came out.
"Rhydon, the Drill Pokemon." the Pokedex said. "Standing on its hind legs freed its forelegs and made it smarter. It is very forgetful, however."
"Rhydon, Earthquake!" Blue commanded.
Rhydon jumped on the two Poison types and used Earthquake.
"Grimer, Sludge Bomb!" Butch said.
"Spinarak, String Shot!" Cassidy said.

Spinarak tied up Rhydon with String Shot, and Grimer followed with a powerful Sludge Bomb."
"Two against one is unfair!" Steve yelled. "Totodile, Bite Spinarak!"
Totodile ran up to Spinarak and bit it. Spinarak fainted.

"Bring in the secret weapon." Cassidy said.
Butch nodded. He blew a whistle.

A Chikorita ran up to them. It had pure white eyes.
"Chikorita!" Hannah cheered.
"Chikorita, the Leaf Pokemon. It uses the leaf on its head to determine the temperature and humidity. It loves to sunbathe."
Chikorita attacked Hannah with Razor Leaf.
"I love doing this." Butch said.
"What did you do to it?" Dan asked.
"Nothing." Cassidy replied. "All we did was temporary take over it's mind."

"Rhydon! Horn Drill!" Blue commanded.
Rhydon used Horn Drill on Chikorita. Grimer ran in front and took the hit.
"Volcanic, Ember!" Dan commanded.
Volcanic used an Ember attack on Chikorita. Chikorita wiped it off as if nothing happened.
"Nothing? But Fire attacks are Super-Effective on Grass types." Dan said.
"The mind control really powers them up a bit." Butch bragged.

"Row!"
A Spearow flew down and used Ariel Ace on Chikorita. It then attacked Cassidy, Butch, Grimer, and Spinarak. All five ran into the Pokemon Center.
Blue, Steve and their Pokemon followed.

The girl from earlier ran up to Dan and Hannah.
"Sorry, I couldn't stop it." she said. "But after a while, the white eyes turned back to normal."
"White eyes?" Dan asked. "So... Team Rocket was controlling it?"
"Da Quil?" Volcanic added.
"Let's follow them inside." Hannah suggested.
"Good idea." Dan replied.
They ran in.

CHAPTER 7: ERUPTION

"Chikorita!" Hannah cried. She saw Chikorita lying on the floor. She put it back in it's Pokeball.

"You Twerps! You're gonna pay!" Cassidy shouted. "Spinarak! Poison Sting!"
"Grimer, Sludge Bomb!" Butch commanded.
The attacks all hit Volcanic.
Volcanic started glowing red.
"Uh oh." Butch said. "I think it activated Blaze..."
"Alright!" Dan cheered. "Use a powered up Ember!"
Volcanic unleashed an explosion of fire.

"****" Cassidy and Butch both said.

BOOOOM!

The Pokemon Center exploded in flames.
Butch, Cassidy, Grimer, and Spinarak all shot into the air.
"That is one powerful Cyndaquil!" Cassidy said. "We NEED to catch that for the boss."
"But in the mean time..." Butch started.
"Looks like we're Blasting off!" Cassidy and Butch shouted.

Everyone stood in the remains of the Pokemon Center.
"What kind of attack was that?" Dan asked, in shock.
"It looked like Eruption." Blue replied. "It's a powerful Fire attack."
"But I thought it was weaker when the user is low on health." the girl said.
"Yes." Blue replied. "So this isn't a normal Cyndaquil. Team Rocket will probably stop at nothing to catch it."
"Looks like we need to be careful then." Dan said.

Dan and Volcanic stood near Route 2. They were staring in the distance.
The girl walked up to them. "Aren't you heading out? You're friends left hours ago."
"Yeah." Dan replied. "But I'm just worried."
"Team Rocket?" she asked.
Dan nodded. "Yes. They could come back at anytime."
"Don't worry about it." she said. "You can easily beat them."
Dan nodded. "Yeah." He looked at Volcanic. "Let's go!"

"Wait." the girl said. "Would it be alright if I came with you on your journey?"
"Uh, sure, I guess." Dan replied.
She smiled. "Great. By the way, my name's Green. I'm travelling to become a stronger trainer."
"Alright." Dan replied. "First stop, Viridian Forest!"

CHAPTER 8: THE BUG FILLED FOREST

Dan, Volcanic and Green walked across the Viridian Forest.
"This place is quite creepy." Green complained."You never know when something will jump out of the trees."

A Weedle crawled out of the bushes.
"Weedle, the Hairy Pokemon. It eats its weight in leaves every day. It fends off attackers with the needle on its head." the Pokedex said.
"Let's catch it." Dan suggested.
"Daquildaquil!" Volcanic cheered.
Volcanic ran up to the Weedle and used Ember.

"Edle!" the Weedle cried. It looked weak.
Dan took out a Pokeball. He threw it.
It hit the Weedle. It started shaking.
"Come on..." Dan said.
It stopped shaking. The button clicked.
Dan picked up the Pokeball. "Alright! I just caught a Weedle!"
"Cyn, cyndaquil!" Volcanic cheered.

"That's strange." Green said. "The Pokedex said it fend off attackers with the needle on it's head, but it didn't even fight back."
"Hey, you're right." Dan said. "Weedle, come on out!"
He threw the Pokeball. Weedle came out.

"Weedle, dle weed!" it said.
"Cynda." Volcanic agreed. It looked at Dan. "Cyna da quil nada!"
Dan nodded. "Maybe you're right."
Dan, Volcanic and Weedle ran off.
"Wait up!" Green shouted. She followed.

Beedrill were flying around like crazy.
Dan took out his Pokedex. "Beedrill, the Poison Bee Pokemon, and the fully evolved form of Weedle. Its best attack involves flying around at high speed, striking with poison needles, then flying off. This Pokemon has anger problems."

"This doesn't look right." Dan said. "Wait. It can't be them. Can it?"

"Prepare for trouble."
"And make it double."

Green ran up to Dan. "That doesn't sound like Cassidy and Butch..."

A woman with magenta hair, and a man with purple hair ran up to them. A cat Pokemon followed.
"To protect the world from devestation, to unite all peoples within our nation." the woman said.
"To denounce the evils of truth and love, to extend our reach to the stars above." the man said.
"Jessie!" the woman cried.
"And James." the man added.
"Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!" Jessie said.
"Surrender now or prepare to fight!" James finished.
"Meowth! That's right!" The cat added.

"Meowth, the Scratch Cat Pokemon. It is nocturnal in nature. If it spots something shiny, its eyes glitter brightly." the Pokedex said.

"Dat things got it all wrong." Meowth said. "Get it updated."
"Never mind about that." Jessie said. "Shall we stop these two from interfering?"
"Right." James replied. "Beedrill, Twineedle!"
All of the Beedrill flew up to Dan, Volcanic, Weedle, and Green, and attacked them with Twineedle.
"Ow!" Dan cried. "Weedle, String Shot!"
Weedle shot out some string. All of the Beedrill avoided it.

"Leave it to me!" Green said. "Go Larvitar!" She threw a Pokeball.
A Larvitar came out.
"Larvitar, the Rock Skin Pokemon. Born deep underground, it comes aboveground and becomes a pupa once it has finished eating the surrounding soil."

"Rock Slide!" Green commanded.
Larvitar sot out rocks, and KO'd all the Beedrill.

CHAPTER 9: THE ULTIMATE TRAINER

"You twerps!" James shouted. "The boss isn't going to be pleased with this!"
"Ekans! Posion Sting!" Jessie shouted.
"Koffing, Poison Gas!" James commanded.
An Ekans and a Koffing jumped out and attacked Larvitar.
It fainted.
Green returned it into it's Pokeball.

"Thunder."
A Thunder attack came from the sky and KO'd Ekans and Koffing.
"Uh oh. He's back." Meowth said.
Team Rocket ran off.
"We're blasting off!"

A boy and a Pikachu walked up to Dan and Green.
"..." he said.
"Hey Red. Didn't know you were here." Green said.
He smiled. "..."
"Pika!" the Pikacu cheered.
"Cynda!" Volcanic replied.
"Pikachu, the Mouse Pokemon. It occasionally uses an electric shock to recharge a fellow Pikachu that is in a weakened state."
Red nodded. Him and Pikachu walked off.

"What's with him?" Dan asked.
"That's Red." Green replied. "He was the Champion four years ago. He also beat Team Rocket the first time around. He never talks though."
"He's weird." Dan replied.

"Weedle!" Weedle said. It started glowing.
"Weedle, what's wrong?" Dan asked.
Green smiled. "That last fight must have given it enough experience. He's evolving."

Weedle changed shape. It stopped glowing.
Dan took out his Pokedex.
"Kakuna, the Cocoon Pokemon and the evolved form of Weedle. While awaiting it's evolution into Beedrill, it hides from predators under leaves and in nooks of branches."
"Wow!" Dan cheered. "Kakuna!"
"Kuuunnna." Kakuna replied.
Dan took out the Pokeball. Kakuna was returned inside.

"Hey, I think that's the exit there!" Green said. She pointed towards an opening.
"Let's go then!" Dan cheered.
They ran off.

When the pokedex speaks for the last time, it should say "Kakuna, the cocoon Pokemon."

CHAPTER 10: PEWTER GYM

Dan, Volcanic, and Green ran into Pewter City.
"Yeah! Made it!" Green cheered.
"And now we're gonna win our first badge!" Dan said.
"You sure about that?"

A boy walked up to them.
"What do you mean?" Dan asked.
"The Gym Leader here is quite strong." he replied.
"Yeah, well I'll beat him!" Dan said.
The boy smiled. "Good luck then. I'm Brock by the way."
He walked off.

"I'll show him!" Dan said.
"You have no idea who he is, right?" Green asked.
"What does it matter?" Dan asked. "It's obvious that he isn't the Gym Leader."
"What makes you say that?" Green asked.
"Because it's obvious!" Dan replied. "He looks more like he'd be a Pokemon Breeder or something."
Green started laughing. "You're so dumb!"

Dan walked off. Volcanic followed.
Green stopped laughing. "Wait for me!"
She followed.

Dan and Volcanic stood outside the Gym.
"With this being a Rock type Gym, both of my Pokemon are at a disadvantage." Dan said. "But I think we're ready."
"Quil, cynda!" Volcanic cheered.
Green caught up. "Bet you'll be surprised when you find out who the Leader is..."
"No." Dan replied. "I'll be anything but surprised."
"Whatever." Green said.
They walked inside.

There were rocks everywhere. A boy was standing at the end.
"Are you my next opponent?" he asked.
"Yep!" Dan replied. "My name is Dan, and this is my partner Volcanic."
"Daquil!" Volcanic said.
Green sat down on a bench.
The boy stepped forward. "My name is Forrest. I'm the Leader of this Gym."
Green was in shock. "Wait, I thought Brock was the Gym Leader."
"Forrest became Gym Leader the other month." Dan replied. He smiled. "I do my research."
"That's correct." Forrest replied. "And now, we will have a two vs two battle."

He threw a Pokeball. Geodude came out.
"Geodude, the Rock Pokemon. At rest, it looks just like a rock. Carelessly stepping on it will make it swing its fists angrily."
"Volcanic, you're up." Dan said.
Volcanic jumped onto the battlefield.

"Weird choice." Forrest said. "The other two trainers I battled today at least used Pokemon with a type advantage."
"So Steve and Hannah already got their badges..." Dan quietly said.
"Anyway, Geodude, Thunderpunch!" Forrest shouted.
Geodude's fists generated with electricity. He punched Volcanic.
"Fight back with Ember!" Dan commanded.
Volcanic shot some Ember at Geodude. It barely did a thing.
"Thunderpunch again!" Forrest said.
Geodude punched Volcanic again. Volcanic then had electricity running through it's body.

"Paralyzed..." Dan said.

CHAPTER 11: THE BOULDER BADGE

"Geodude, Magnitude!" Forrest commanded.
"Dude!" Geodude cried, as it jumped up and down, creating earthquakes.
A rock flew up and hit Volcanic.

Volcanic was weak.
Dan thought. "Volcanic, return!"
Volcanic walked off the field.
He threw a Pokeball. "Kakuna! You're up!"

Kakuna came out.
"Fire Punch." Forrest said.
"Harden!" Dan cried.
Geodude punch Kakuna with a fist of fire. Kakuna used Harden and lowered the damage.
"Good move." Forrest said. "But can you handle Rock Throw?"

Geodude threw a rock at Kakuna.
It took a direct hit. A crack appeared on Kakuna's head.
"Uh oh..." Forrest said.
"I know what this is!" Dan said.
Kakuna started glowing. A Beedrill flew out of the crack.
It stopped glowing.
"Beedrill!" Dan said in cheer. He looked at the Pokedex. "You've also learned a new move. Let's try it!"

Beedrill flew towards Geodude and started jabbing it with the needles.
"Wow! Twineedle!" Green said in amazement.
"Dude..." Geodude weakly said. It had fainted.

"Geodude, return!" Forrest said, putting Geodude back in the Pokeball. "You did good."
He threw another Pokeball. Rhyhorn came out.
"Rhyhorn, the Spikes Pokemon. Its powerful tackles can destroy anything. However, it is too slow witted to help people work."
"Take Down!" Forrest said.
Rhyhorn charged at Beedrill with max power.
Beedrill fainted.
"Return pal, you did good." Dan said, returning Beedrill to it's Pokeball. "Volcanic, you're up."

Volcanic ran back onto the field.
Forrest smiled. "This won't take long. Take Down again!"
Rhyhorn charged into Volcanic. Direct hit.
Rhyhorn smiled.
"Wait, I thought Take Down harts the user too." Dan said. "Rhyhorn looks completely fine."
"His special ability." Forrest replied. "Rock Head make it so he doesn't take recoil damage."
"I guess this is why Brock said the Gym Leader was strong." Green commented.

Dan thought. "Shall I? No... It's too risky... But I need to do something..."
"If you won't attack, then I'll have to." Forrest said. "Rock Blast!"
Rhyhorn shot five rocks out of his mouth. Volcanic was hit by all of them.
He grew weak.
Dan stared at Volcanic. "We have no choice. Eruption!"
Volcanic unleashed an explosion of fire.
Smoke was everywhere.

The smoke disappeared. Rhyhorn fainted.
Forrest took out a Pokeball. "You did good. Take a rest." Rhyhorn returned to it's Pokeball.

They were all standing outside the Gym.
"That was a good fight. I didn't expect an attack like that to come from such a small Pokemon."
"Thanks." Dan replied. "I enjoyed the battle." Forrest said.
Forrest took a Badge out of his pocket. "This is the Boulder Badge. Take it." He gave it to Dan.
Dan held the Badge up. "I just got the Boulder Badge!"
"Quil Cyndaquil!" Volcanic cheered.
"Bee-drill bee!" Beedrill cheered.
Dan attached the Badge to his jacket.

"So, where are you heading next?" Forrest asked.
Dan thought. "I'm not sure..."
"Then how about heading to Cerulean City." Forrest replied. "The Gym Leader there is quite tough."
"Alright! Next stop, Cerulean Gym!" Dan cheered.
"But you will need to make it through the maze of Mt Moon to get there though." Forrest replied.
Dan and his Pokemon were gone.
"Where'd he go?" Forrest asked.
"He left after need." Green replied.
"Wow, he's impatient..." Forrest replied.

Anyway, I love reading and writing Pokemon battles. I randomly write some all the time!
I have one question, though: Are you going to make each Pokemon have a limit of four moves?

Yeah. If a Pokemon uses a fifth move, I'll make it like the anime (stops using a different move).

Great. I find it really cheap if a Pokemon has every move on its moveset.

Ditto. ( Get it? It's also a Pokemon? I'll just go now...)

CHAPTER 12: THE GREEN ZUBAT

Dan, Volcanic and Green walked across Route 3.
"There's the Pokemon Center!" Dan said. "Finally!"
They walked in.


A Hiker was sitting in there. "You guys aren't planning on heading through Mt Moon, are ya?"
"Well, yeah. Of course we are." Dan replied.
The Hiker smiled. "Well you gotta have guts. Team Rocket have been sighted in there."
"Ha! We'll beat them." Dan replied.
"Good luck with that." The Hiker replied. "I'm Gus by the way."
He walked off.

"Oh, there you are."
Brock walked up to them.
"Oh, it's you." Dan replied. "Why are you here?"
"I heard you beat my brother in a Gym battle." Brock replied. "Good job!"
"Thanks." Dan replied.
"Hey." Brock said. "Would it be alright if I came with you on your journey? My goal is to become a Pokemon Breeder, but I can't get to that goal easily if I travel by myself."
"Sure, the more the merrier!" Dan replied.
"Uh... Are we heading through Mt Moon or what?" Green asked.
"Oh right!" Dan said. "Let's go!"

They entered Mt Moon.
"This place seems different..." Brock said. "The Zubat are nowhere to be seen."
"That IS weird." Green replied. "Zubat are normally flying all around caves."
"This is definitely the work of Team Rocket." Dan said. "I know it!"

A bunch of Zubat flew towards them.
"Zubat, the Bat Pokemon. It does not need eyes, because it emits ultrasonic waves to check its surroundings while it flies."
They all tried to use Leech Life on them.

Dan and Brock both threw Pokeballs.
Beedrill and Graveler came out.
"Graveler, the Rock Pokemon. It rolls on mountain paths to move. Once it builds momentum, no Pokémon can stop it without difficulty."
"Beedrill, Twineedle!" Dan said.
"Graveler, Smack Down!" Brock commanded.

Graveler used Smack Down to knock all of the Zubat down, and Beedrill attacked them once they had fallen.
Brock threw another Pokeball. He caught a Zubat.
"Good idea." Dan said.

"Baaaaaaaaaaaatttt!"
A green Zubat flew up to them and attacked them.
"A green Zubat?" Dan said in confusion. "Zubat aren't meant to be green."
"Zubat, Bat zubat!" It said. It used Wing Attack on them.

"Twineedle!" Dan said.
Beedrill flew up to the green Zubat and attacked it.
"Go Pokeball!" Dan shouted.
He caught the green Zubat.

"You twerps!"
"Come out and show yourselves!" Brock shouted.

"Prepare for trouble and make it double!"
"To infect the world with devestation, to blight all peoples in every nation."
"To denounce the goodness of truth and love, to infect our wrath to the stars above."
Cassidy and Butch jumped down off a rock.
"Cassidy!"
"And Butch of course."
"We're Team Rocket, circling Earth all day and all night!" Cassidy said.
"Surrender to us now or you will surely lose the fight!" Butch finished.

"Cassidy and Biff! Of course it's you!" Dan shouted.
"MY NAME IS BUTCH AND YOU KNOW IT!" Butch shouted.
"Butch chill out." Cassidy said. "We need to continue with the mission."
"I bet you were the ones who hypnotized the Zubat!" Green said.
"Well done Captain Obvious!" Butch said.
"Cassidy and Biff..." Brock said. "Why are you even here?"
"For the Fossils of course." Cassidy replied.
"And to get people to SAY MY NAME RIGHT!" Butch added.

"Spinarak!" Cassidy shouted. "Come out to battle!"
"You too Grimer!" Butch added.

A Spinarak and a Grimer fell down.
"Graveler, Rollout!" Brock commanded.
Graveler rolled into the Pokemon. They fainted.
"Biff, we may need to get back up."
"MY NAME'S NOT BIFF!" Butch shouted.

They ran off.
"Let's follow." Dan said.

CHAPTER 13: TEAM ROCKET'S BOSS

Dan, Volcanic, Green, and Brock caught up with Cassidy and Butch.
"Now you're in for it!" Dan said.
"Oh yeah?" Butch replied.

"Cassidy. Biff. Let me take care of these clowns."
Butch sighed. "Not even the Boss gets my name right..."
A man walked over to them. "I am Giovanni. Leader of Team Rocket."
"I thought you left." Green said.
"I did." Giovanni replied. "But I couldn't stay away. So I rejoined."

"I don't care who you are." Dan said. "I'll fight you!"
Giovanni smiled. "We don't need the fossils anymore. I'll be happy to accept your challenge."
He threw a Pokeball. Rhydon came out.
"Zubat, Leech Life!" Dan said.
Zubat flew up to Rhydon and attacked. Rhydon knocked it back.
"Wimp." Giovanni said.

"Geodude, Rock Throw!"
A rock was thrown at Rhydon.
Gus and a Geodude walked up to them.
"Gus?" Dan asked.
"Who else?" Gus replied. "Geodude, Rock Throw again!"
Geodude threw another rock.
Rhydon knocked it away. It flew back and hit Gus in the face.
"Ouch!" Gus screamed.

"Graveler! Rollout!" Brock said.
Graveler rolled into Rhydon.
Giovanni smiled. "This is a waste of time."


A Team Rocket grunt ran over to them.
"Boss! The operative just obtained the first Gym Badge!" he said.
Giovanni smiled. "Good."
"Why do you need Gym Badges?" Brock asked.
"To get into the Pokemon League." Giovanni replied. "So our machine can control all Pokemon."
"You didn't need to tell them that boss." Cassidy said.
"Why does it matter?" Giovanni asked. "They can't stop us. Besides, the trainer is from Pallet Town. They'll be strong enough."

"Trainer from Pallet?" Green asked. "But Dan, Hannah, and Steve wouldn't work for you!"
"Darn right." Dan added.
Giovanni smiled. "What about the other three trainers? You know. The ones with Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander."
"Oh yeah..." Dan said. "That makes sense why Oak didn't have any left."
"Lets just go now boss." Butch said.
"Yes." Giovanni said.
Team Rocket walked away.

A Pokemaniac ran over to Dan, Volcanic, Green, Brock, and Gus. "Good job! I'll give you a fossil for your great work. Which one do you want? Helix, or Dome?"

I like both Pokemon, but considering yesterday, not helix.
Why? Well, yesterday i was thinking about Omanyte, and I said "Omanyte" under my breath. Suddnely, my knee gave out and I slammed my leg into a dresser. I stumbled up, and went back to my thoughts. Again, I said Omanyte under my breath. Then, I tripped on my hurt leg and slammed my hand into that dresser. Now my hand feels like it is broken.
So,
OMANYTE IS EVIL!!!

CHAPTER 14: CERULEAN

Dan, Volcanic, Green, Brock, and Gus left Mt Moon. They were now on Route 4.
Dan looked at his fossil. "I wonder what this Dome Fossil will turn into."
"I think Kabuto, but I'm not certain." Gus replied.
"Hey! Cerulean City is over there!" Brock cheered.
They ran into the City.

"Well, I should get going." Gus said. "See ya."
He ran off.

"That was quick." Dan said. "But anyway, off to the Gym!"
"Wait, do you have any Grass or Electric type Pokemon?" Brock asked.
"Uh... No." Dan replied.
"Well you'd need them if you want to beat the Leader." Brock replied. "She specializes in Water types."
"Good point..." Dan said. "I better go search for one."
