I don't really know why they are bothering to do this. A Master Eon's guide has been all but confirmed, albeit for a June release date, which will make this obsolete. The look of the Master Eon's Guide is way above what any third party could do.

The above is my opinion, of course.

because master eon's guide might not be as comprehensive as a strategy guide? or that the eon guide is more of a story guide and has little/nothing to do with game strategy? a strategy guide is the sort of thing that has detailed maps, character info, and all that jazz. faun was under the impression that eon's guide was more of a visitor's guide to skylands and its people sort of thing. faun could be wrong, but it seems unlikely since the original skylanders guide came out last year while eon's guide is still not out yet. either way, faun will be getting the giants guide before the eon one since faun collects strategy guides (though if the eon book is interesting, faun might get that, too).

Hmmm. October 16th? Presuming that the game will come out the same time as the guide, could that be the release date? It's a Tuesday, so it is possible.

If you look at the link above it shows you a couple of preview picks. It shows that the character info is very detailed and even shows the two different upgrade paths. The page about the level is vdry basic but as that is the intro page I would imagine that it goes into more detail about where certain items are in the following pages. In addition you can get it over here in the UK for £4, August 2nd release, whereas the strategy guide costs £12, or 3 times as much. As long as eon's guide shows character info and item locations I'll be happy.
