After thinking about it, perhaps this is the timeline:

STD,GTG,YOTD,ETD,SOI,SOF,Adventure,AHT and SL.

Fusion isn't counted as it is seen as non-canon in the Crash series, the four mobile games are't counted because that two are (poor) ports of other console Spyro games, one has no plotline and the other is, while a direct sequel to Adventure, is often thought as non-canon, mostly for being a mobile phone game. As for his cameos in the two Crash games, CNK is considered non-canon (as most Crash spin-offs are) by most, while that could be an alternate universe Spyro( seeing how Crash was in a alternate universe), though it did look quite like the real Spyro, so it might have been him. Or it could just be breaking through the fourth wall, like Cortex's conversation with the penguins.

Awesome timeline Dark52. I like the way you put the new Spyro games in a seperate timeline- that, in my opinion, is correct and works. I mean, to put ANB before STD doesn't make sense, because a) Spyro would somehow become a weakling again in STD after ANB's story and b) The dragon elders are different in many ways from each other between those games.

Micheal, I can understand where you're going too. Spyro appearing in those games are pretty much just spinoffs.

Not that having a timeline for the original continuty has any real use anymore, because of the reboot. Though it does bring on a nostalgic feeling.

So true, Volteer. Spyro, while not as glorius as he used to be, he still has a solid fanbase, and ANB had famous actors, great music, great graphics, a good story and solid gameplay(not as good as YOTD or AHT gameplaywise, but still very good, lacks replay value though). What has Crash got? Of all of his console games released since 2000, only one has been truely great(Twinsanity), of all games since 1999, only four have been full-fledged platformers(Fusion was somewhat of a party game, while the main premise of CTTR was racing). The latest game, released last month, Crash Boom Bang, was a party game. It looks terrible, is the most un- Crash like game in the series, and many Crash fans(including myself) have decided to boycott the game. Poor old Crash.

i remember playing warped and cortex strikes back for hours on end with my momma. lol. and we would always try to find the secret spots that take u to different worlds. we would play it with my aunt(over the phone, and we would "go through levels together" lol) but now all of the crash games seem like they are focusing to much on portables, i hate portables for how they have demoted games.

I LOVE Crash. I am addicted to it. So I have to point out that, that timeline is incorrect. Because Crash Nitro Kart can not come before Twinsanity because at the start of twinsanity Cortex was frozen for 3 years but in CNK at the end he gets abandoned on a planet and he was frozen at the end of Crash the wrath of cortex, but Crash Nitro Kart is before Twinsanity butr Crunch who was created in WOC was in CNK so there are lots of plotholes and I think you should put CNK and Twinsanity beside eachother!

Ok, fusion happens before CNK because in fusion Spyro was really mad at Crash and stuff but if CNK was first Spyro would be angry at Crash in CNK which he wasnt! Now anyway Fusion is after WOC because Crunch is in it but it is before Twinsanity because Cortex gets stuck in Crashs brain. But this is all impossible because between WOC and Twinsanity Cortex was frozen. So that timeline does not work!

And like I said, Crash's timeline isn't of importance here. This way makes sense from Spyro's point of view. He arrives in Crash's world in Fusion, goes after the treasure, or whatever it is that he does, in Twinsanity and then gets mind controlled into racing in Nitro Kart, though you could easily swap the last two around any which way you like, I just preferred this way.

The game above A New Beginning is The Legend of Spyro 2 (it doesn't exist and for all I know won't ever exist (but it's quite likely if nothing else)), I put it there just to show with a bit more clarity that The Legend of Spyro is separate from the others.

If I was to actually guess at Crash's timeline, based on my knowledge that ends with actual playing of the games at Crash Bash, it'd go something like this:

Crash Bandicoot
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped
Crash Team Racing
Crash Bash
Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex
Crash Twinsanity
Crash Bandicoot XS
Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced
Crash Nitro Kart
Crash Bandicoot Fusion
Crash Tag Team Racing
Crash Boom Bang!

Now I'm sure there are plenty of things wrong with that, and frankly I just don't care and don't want to get into a discussion about it. I'm just pointing out that I know that my order in the picture doesn't make much sense when you take into account all of the Crash games, however it is mostly fine and just about makes sense if you only see the three that Spyro is involved in and none of the others at all.

What a mess the canon is... Dark52 well done. I have my own ideas on the order of the games but I rather keep that info to myself for the time being due to my series. I believe you got it right.

Michael, Legend of Spyro is a reboot and that is a fact however let's just say that the future sequels of Legend will make things a whole lot clearer. The reboot might just end up linking back up with original storyline after all. The reason is simple... there are alot of very angry people in high places right now who want to do things differently...

In fact, from SOI to Fusion there are no new major characters(note that Crash Bandicoot characters in Fusion don't count), with the exception of Grendor, the antagonist of SOI.
