My guess on the Magic Giant- Well, I was thinking some sort of dragon, simple dragon.

i would like a genie.

We can kind of sorta guess on it from that roster pic from the merch thread.



That one on the end there is the only one that doesn't really look like an existing character, so that's what I'm guessing is the Magic Giant.

To me, it looks like it has a really thin body, which makes me theorize that it could be a genie. Which of course would be freaking sweet. (Alternate theory is another Weapons Master like character if not the Weapons Master himself.)

Of course it's way too hard to make any real details out of it though.

It could be an Arkeyan or a Genie. Or maybe an Arkeyan Genie (combined)! Or maybe a giant bunny magician, who was once a human on earth, but arrived in Skylands as a rabbit.

Yeah, it could be a genie, but to me that whole element looks like undead, not magic. EDIT, nevermind, that is magic, lol

Well, I dont think the figure has legs, and the top of his head it big, like a genie hat, seems to me like a genie! Then again, it is blury.

You can't take the blur away unless there is a higher-res original version... there could be another picture out there somewhere but I think if there was we'd have known about it by now since E3 finished nearly 3 weeks ago. If there was a picture that you could see details on the comunity would know by now. We'll just have to wait until they reveal some more new ones officially...

actually you can take the blur away if you used photo shop or a 3ds camera as both can merge pic cells, it would be very difficult on the 3ds as you would have to reverse the 3d merge to suit it sliding the other way. both ways require HUGE amounts of skill.

No. It's impossible to make that picture any better quality than what it already is (because of how small it is). We've been over this already.

unless you enlargen it to edit pixel by pixel!

I saw something about changing the x and y axis of the photo to enlarge it and make it clear. But I don't know how to do it.

Personally, I find it pointless to look at a blurry image and make out shapes

^ Actually, no you can't truly sharpen an image. I'm majoring in graphics and minoring in digital photography and I know how the "sharpening" works with Photoshop and other programs. Photoshop isn't truly sharpening an image (with unsharp mask, high pass sharp, and other sharpening methods); it only creates an illusion of sharpening by changing the hue of the pixels. It does this by changing half of the pixel pure white (zone 10) and the other half pure black (zone 0). So all of the software these days use this technique (or one relatively similar to it) to visually enhance an image (it's just a trick of our eyes that makes it appear sharper).

The reason why the image is blurry is because the camera that took the picture had low mega pixels (how much pixel information is captured) which will create blur when zoomed in. If the camera had larger mega pixel count, it would have recorded more data of the image which would look clearer if zoomed in. Different file extensions save more of the recorded pixel data than others. Jpeg discards most of the embedded image data so it won’t be as good quality as an image captured in RAW which saves virtually all data even data that the camera would discard in the final screen image (such as highlight data or shadows).

I said merge not sharpen!

Merging pixels will not increase the detail, it may reduce pixelation but it will make it more blurry.

There is genuinely no way to increase the detail level on a poor quality image like that. You can make it look better but you can't make it show detail that isn't in the original picture. As I've said in another thread: You can either make it sharper but more pixelated or smoother and blurry. If you knew what the picture was supposed to look like you can manually add detail at the pixel level but only if you know what details were supposed to be there.

You cannot enhance a picture to show detail that is not visible unless you have the RAW file and even then if the resolution isn't high enough you basically can't do anything. The things you see in movies and on TV shows is all fake. It's esentially science fiction when they do the whole: "Zoom in on sector 6G, now enhance. That's our killer!" thing. It is not possible to enhance images like that.

Yeah i have the July issue aswell and theres nothing new so its definetly the August edition that has info on Swarm or another giant

July issue is with the "Why online-only games are a bad idea", right? If so I'll be getting August very soon.

I knew the magic giant was going to be a genie, but really Ninjini? I almost died laughing at that name and makes wonder who comes up with these wacky names. Also I never thought a genie and a ninja could be together as one being.
