There's a few ways to get the figure off the base, the easiest being sitting the figure in the sunshine on a warm day for a few hours. This warms up the whole thing and makes it so much easier to wiggle off the base.

That's pretty cool, I like that you can pose it, but I mainly buy it for use in game, so it doesn't matter much in the grand scheme of things to me, still pretty darn cool though.
I've been meaning to mention this, but my wife accidentally had a can of Dr. Pepper explode and it splashed some of my figures a while back, so I spent a bit of time cleaning them with a damp cloth and they surprisingly looked pretty darn good when they're shiny... I briefly considered looking for a way to add a permanent gloss to them, but the existing paint jobs on figures aren't necessarily the best. I can just imagine...I think it was StormBringerGT who had the custom Cynder, but instead modified to be able to be posed. Yea, that'd be pretty awesome I think.

Thank you so much for the info. I will either leave him out side in a windowsill or in my car. It would be nice to reposition one of wrecking balls. Thanks again

Doesn't anyone remember the recent mini heatwave we just had in the UK? It only lasted two or three weeks, but it was a constant 25-27 degrees during that time.
Anyway back on topic, you are welcome iloveninjas. Once the figure is nice and warm it is so easy to work with and it's a lot harder to cut your fingers off too. My extra Gill Grunt on the operating table. I simply used small nails and hammered into the toy to make the joint - not very delicate, since the jointed figures are for me I don't mind so much. My first attempt wasn't so bad.

Oh hey, yep that's one I made. He's up on my site now and I'm also in the process of making a tutorial on how to remove your skylanders from the bases and articulate them. Due to popular demand of course! It'll feature Camo as he uses both ball joints and screw-in cut joints.

Hey, Jin, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you also do an articulated Zook which never went up on the site either? Regular Spyro doesn't seem to be on there either and I could've sworn you made him too?

A quick tip for removing them from the base that will be included in the guide: Heat their feet up using a hair dryer and tug them forward so the back of their heels raise. Then slowly cut across the bottom of the foot while pulling the figure up and forward. Never cut from toes to heel because that's not where the peg is. Usually the toes will peel right out of the glue/paint once you've cut the heel peg off.
