how can the night be ETERNAL when the celestial moons cant sit in front of each other forever and therefore the night (darkness) lasts for a really lon time NOT forever...

i mean come on the dragons already exist, they dont need to be reborn unless spyro and cynder are the intro of dragons to their new world...

Well, some dragon is "dawning" a new age. Probably Spyro since this is
"his game".

They ment darkness; like how evil things are also called "dark things" and such.

It had to do with how dark it was, both moons and the sun provide no light at that moment. And the title refers to the natural/magical occurance called the Night of Eternal Darkness.

yeah, but they could call it the night of the really long darkness or something...

But that does not sound dark enough, and it is not only physical darkness, but it is a time of dark magic as seen at the Well of Souls.

How about the pirate fleet levels? It wasn't nightime or anything.

IamCynder is right in my opionion. ETERNAL does mean FOREVER. But the Chronichler said that the Celestial moons would only be in an eclipse for a short time.

But then again they could mean it in ways of an idiom or exagerration. Like "The Night" seems like it is eternal becuase the dark spirts have been released and are reeking havoc across the worlds scarring everyone and making it seem like an eternity.

Or maybe the Eternal night was a singe classified night where everyone knew that darkness was coming in there subconsious (Like Volteer had said. "We have all felt it Ignitus. Darkness is approaching.") Or maybe that was a sort of code for the Dark Master could escape the Well of Souls and the Dark Master could make it Eternal and THAT part was written also.

Or maybe Sierra just liked the sound of the name. LOL

I don't know, this may not happen, but seeing as we DO NOT take care of our world an "apocalypse" COULD happen!

Also, this is an acutal FACT:
Scientist have found an asteroid is heading directly towards earth, and in approximately 20 years, it will colide with earth, which means that we would probably all die, because it is so BIG that it won't burn up in the atmosphere. There is however, a SLIGHT chance that the asteroid will take a turn to the left, narrowly missing the earth.

Does anyone else remember this? (may or may not be exactly right) :
