Cavan Scott here, aka Onk Beakman, author of the Skylander chapter books.

It's been great to read all your comments and also to see people commenting on The Machine of Doom over at my website, www.cavanscott.com. I'm glad the ebook edition of the book has gone down so well - looking forward to the paperback release now.

Some of your comments got me thinking. If you could have any of the Skylanders appear in a future Skylander novel, who would it be and why? Just interested in which Skylanders you love the most.

Which Skylander I could have to appear in a future novel?

Hm, Spyro of course, him being the apparent leader of the Skylanders in absence of Eon. The very Skylander who is a memorable character in the Spyro the Dragon franchise.

Whirlwind; she's one of my favorite Skylanders, and she is unique as the only dragon-unicorn hybrid in all of Skylands. Held no grudges against the unicorns and dragons who shunned her.

Zap; raised by electric eels, has a fun, mischievous streak and his ability to outstrip almost any opponent when racing in water. And his long-going feud with the dolphins is interesting.

And Drobot; the first intelligent dragon to assemble his own robotic suit.

Trigger Happy - He has A fun personality and a funny accent.

Sonic Boom - I like her as a character and her babies are too cute!

Cynder - My all time favorite character and her backstory and personality would be very interesting.

Double Trouble - Just a funny look and voiced character.

Dino-Rang - His austrailian accent is very funny.

Zook - I don't know why but he would just be awesome.

Sunburn - Again I don't know why.

Slam Bam - An awesome design.

Warnado - I'd just love to know about Warnado's life of dizziness after getting out of that enchanted twister.
Ghost Roaster - Just to see a backstory with pictures of his chef life before becoming his ghost roasting self.

The chinese dragon skylander!

I'd just like to see any and every Skylander. They all have their own charm if handled right. Maybe give the spotlight to the more obscure characters, like Zook, Warnado and Voodood, or find some way to tie the Legendary figures into the story - That would really be impressive.

I would love Cynder to be in a main role of a book. Whirlwind too.

Oh wow I loved your book Machine of Doom! I would like A Spyro and Cynder book that might reference to the TLoS series or my favorited original Spyro games.

I would love to see a book about the elves - Stealth Elf, Flameslinger, and Hex. Especially Stealth Elf!

His childhood, how he got his wings, when his hometown was raided, when he gave his wings to a mom so she could fly her kids to safety.......

It would be cool to see a story about Spyro, Hex, Cynder, Ignitor, and Malefor, the undead dragon king. Malefor could get revenge on Spyro for freeing Cynder from his control and on Hex for banishing him. And Ignitor... if there are any zombies he could burn them.

the chinese dragon is not drobot the chinese dragon shows up 2 times he's in a close up in an
exploson by wreaking ball when they where sent to earth and by slam bam in the beginning
it's a mysterious dragon it's not drobot because the chinese dragon does'nt have armor and
drobot can't take he's armor off in the game

I would like to see an Adventure With Camo, Warnado, And Wham-Shell! Lets say..... A evil cyclops is taking over an island where all three of them live and they try to claim it back!

As a screenwriter, I have thought about writing specs - just for fun - based around Skylanders.

I had an idea to write a story based around the undead element. It would be a haunted story featuring crypts, graveyard, and a haunted house.

So, I would like to see a novel with Hex, Cynder, Chop Chop, Ghost Roaster, and Spyro as the protagonists.

Ah, how about this? The four undead Skylanders, as well as Spyro, go out trick-or-treating. Cynder suggests they take a detour to the Shrouded Isles. Spyro isn't so sure about it, however. After being convinced to go, the five start exploring, when they are attacked by a group of undead minions (they can be whatever you want). They fight off the minions, but Hex comes up missing. They decide to run to a nearby house (haunted), where they worry about how to find and save Hex. They decide to explore the house, but one-by-one, each of the undead Skylanders start coming up missing right as Spyro turns his back on them.

Left all alone, Spyro sits in the living room of the haunted house, where he has to muster up enough strength to put his fears aside, in order to find his comrades. Just as he starts creeping his way through the house, ghosts and undead minions start chasing him, until he winds up in an underground basement. Once down there, there is a crazy-acting scientist, who has the four undead Skylanders tied up. He has a table lined up for Spyro, as well. Very frightened, Spyro begs for the release of the four undead Skylanders, seeing as he's too frightened to fight to save them.

All of the minions and the scientist close in on Spyro, as he crawls up into a ball, begging for this nightmare to end. As they hover over Spyro, a hand reaches out and taps Spyro on his arm. He takes a peek. It's Hex. It was all a gag setup by Trigger Happy, who turns out to be the scientist, who was dressed up. The minion attack in the graveyard was setup by Trigg, the undead Skylanders, and the minions.

It will be a Halloween in Skylands, that Spyro never forgets. He also vows to pay them back somehow - in time - with a trick of his own.

Just add wrecking ball. THAT WOULD MAKE LIFE SO MUCH BETTER
