It seems that the reposed figures will include new powers, upgrades, stats or perks of some kind that the series 1 Skylanders will miss out on.

Disappointing.

Who cares, at least series one is able to level up more?

I always knew they would do this and apparently now it's official. This will compel people to purchase the new figures thus meaning more profit for Activision which is their main focus. However this may backfire if people don't like the bonuses and decide not to buy the figures thus undermining their scheme.

It kinda sucks, but like I said in another thread, ultimately a good move. I mean, no one would bother with new ones if they didn't do anything different than the old ones. (Especially since it seems to me "Series 1" figures will be discontinued when they release the reposed "Series 2" figures)

In the least, I'd like to hope that the new figures will include the original 2 Upgrade paths, and a potential third one. Or that some of the bugs are fixed (like that one with Warnado)

I won't be buying the reposed skylanders because it's a stupid deal. Why would I fork out another 7 quid for a skylander if I already have that one, it can just learn a few extra moves. It's really cheeky. They'd make as much money if they just released the 16 new skylanders, rereleased the light up ones, and offered more varients (that were actually POSSIBLE to get hold of.)

That is asinine, they are trying to resell the whole group again, and with the count he put there are 40 re-released total and the 16 new ones. The point of the new ones should have been for new variants or for the people who couldn't complete the originals to finish off their set, not for a whole new more expensive collection.

Well you have to admit, you all would be mad if they made reposed figures with the same powers. Getting new upgrades will make people find the reposed figures valuable. Despite this though, unless you are new to Skylanders or if you just want new powers those figures will be bought.

Giving the same character different powers does NOT make sense from a CHARACTER perspective.

Sure, it makes sense to sell more toys, but little Timmy, who already owns Stump Smash will be annoyed if HIS stump smash can't do anything new, after all that time spent upgrading it. And now he's gotta buy ANOTHER stump smash and start upgrading it all over again?

Lots of kids might not even notice the new poses very much. Poses don't mean anything in-game.

And imagine playing PvP. A simple Stump Smash vs. Stump Smash match could be totally unfair if one is the reposed version.

This will alienate the original Skylander fans. The reposed figures should be for collecters or new players but they should not "punish" us who have the originals. There's already a lot of people angry about this in all the forums and if Activision doesn't fix this problem they will have a mass boycott of Giants.

The remodels will get both upgrade paths!
This is a double edged sword!

I still won't get remodels unless there's a really good sale for them.

so from what i know, the 24 reposed will have new upgrade paths, the ability to follow multiple upgrade paths, higher level cap (?), looks different. does anyone know if this applies to the new life-force skylanders? and i dont think they are reposed? do they get new upgrade paths or are they going to have a repose too? so for example there would be prism break, lite prism break, and prism break reposed? or would the light up BE the repose? i think activision should just release the 16 new skylanders and the 4 lites...
