Sozinta stepped out of the car, waving at Fraya, "Hey, long time no see!" She said. Fraya smiled at her, "Hey, Chizu- Oh, sorry, your not going by that name anymore... " She stopped, studying Sozinta for a moment, "Darn, and here i was hoping I could do you in." Sozinta gave an akward look to Fraya, and sighed, "Very funny. This is Levana, he's been stuck in a tree for over a thousand years."

He nodded to her. "Nice to meet you, I think. I'm not exactly sure about people, honestly." He said, but smiled anyway.

Fraya held her hand out, "I'm Fraya. Red Cloaked Reaper. The name was given to me by some smart alec... " She said. Sozinta gave Fraya a look, "I didn't expect you to announce that right off the bat... " She said.

"And that would be a what now?" He asked as he shook Fraya's hand, slight confusion in his eyes.

"I'm a Reaper who specializes in killing people who are supposedly immortal." Fraya replied. "You're not in any danger, at the moment. Rest assured that you won't die while you're here." Sozinta face/palmed, shaking her head. "Fraya, humans don't react well when you say things like that..."

"Well that's good to know." He said. He wasn't immortal, as far as he knew, so, you know. "Sozinta, that's one of the least weird things I've heard in the past two days."

"Well, it's true. Most humans don't like being told of their mortality." Sozinta said. Fraya nodded, "Less when told by a Reaper... Oh, Fraya, I couldn't get that ring for you. Boss wouldn't let me buy it. He kept saying that I needed to stop hanging around the living." Fraya said, rolling her eyes.
Sozinta noticeably clenching one fist but nodded, "Don't worry, I understand. I'll make due without it. Keep trying though, please."

Levana blinked. "Uhhh, what now?" He asked, curious.

Sozinta shook her head, "It nothi-" "Her ring that compresses her into that body is cracking. I got her that one, so I plan on getting her a new one." Fraya interrupted. Sozinta glared at Fraya who only laughed.

Levana's jaw dropped. "Okay, that's important!" He said, looking worried.

Sozinta sighed, "You don't need to worry about. If things get too bad I'll leave the planet until I can get a hold of another compression device." She said, crossing her arms. "I have time, I just noticed the ring straining recently."

"Yeah, but... Bluh!"

Fraya rolled her eyes at Sozinta, "Anyway, I gotta go. I'm lucky I had this much time off. See ya!" Fraya said, tossing her hand up in a wave as she she slowly faded away.
Sozinta sighed, "Jeez... She's always like that, showing up with a smile when she's got bad news... "

He sighed. "It's probably an effect of the job..." He muttered.

Sozinta nodded, "Yes... That is true. I hope she's getting along with her work okay. We're terribly alike in the sense that we don't like other people to know when we're hurting." She said. She started back towards the car.

Levana watched her head towards the car... He stood, thinking for a while, then followed her.

Sozinta got into the car, starting to engine. "Let's go. There's a clothing store a few blocks from here."

He got in, and sat there, non spazzy, a thinking look on his face.

Sozinta looked over at him, "What are you thinking about?" She asked, as she started driving slowly down the street.

"... You're hurting a lot too."

Silence. Sozinta didn't answer.

Levana didn't care that she hadn't answered. It hadn't been a question.

Sozinta remained silent until they reach the clothing store.

"So can I get ANYTHING I want when we go in?" He asked. "Or are you going to be the fasion police?"

"I don't particularly care about fashion unless you were a neon pink dress. In which case, I would laugh my self to tears." Sozinta said.

"no. Not happening." he said decisively.

Sozinta laughed to herself, "Right, whatever you say." She said, opening her car door.

He got out. "I have a baaad feeling about this." He said.

"Don't worry. I was only kidding." She said.

"... You're SURe you were only kidding..?"

What? Do you want me to see you in a neon pink dress, or something?" Sozinta asked, "Yes, I'm only kidding."

"No, just checking in case of pranks or forcing or forced pictures put on this... Internet I've heard about."

"Oh, you don't know anyone, so it wouldn't embarrass you! That takes all the fun out of things like that." Sozinta said.

"oh, okay. For once my weird age is a good thing." he said, heading inside.

Sozinta followed, "Yep. My on chance at black mail, ruined." She said jokingly.

He laughed a bit, then tried to not be a tourist.

Chloe again waited for something to happen, when nothing did the angry expression returned to her face, "Why isn't this working!?"

"Because your trying to force it, Da Ze." Marisa walked into the library, her broom across her shoulder. "What Patchy might not have told you is that if you try to force it, it won't work. Relax, stand up straight. Then, focus on your vital energy. I want to to picture that. A small glowing light within you somewhere. You need to find that energy before you can start the spell."

Sozinta pointed him in the direction of the men's clothing. "That way."

Chloe let out a breath, she closed her eyes a tried to find the energy within herself. She relaxed and thought of a light within herself. She held out her hand and a ball of light came out. As she opened her eyes the light got dimmer.

Marisa nodded, "Close your eyes, for now. You need to picture the light within you growing and brightening. Picture the bright light seeping through your body, to your finger tips. Now resonating through you. Aim your hands. Whisper words that YOU'D use to focus your magic. Now unleash your magic!" Marisa said.

Chloe did as Marisa said, she thought of a word... What word would she use? Maybe it could be actual words, she opened her eyes and spoke softly, "Lamenta."

Marisa took one step back words and waited to see what magic would come about.

A bright light glowed, an orb of light with dimmer glowing lights coming off of it. Chloe's eyes were still shut and she kept thinking about the energy pouring out. The light grew.

Marisa whistled, "Woah, your good at this. Most of anyone I try to teach that takes weeks, Da Ze!" She said, grinning.

Chloe opened her eyes and lost the though, it all disappeared, "Huh?"

Marisa cursed under her breath. "Sorry, you lost focus. But, you had a good bright glowing orb. Very good for a beginner." She said.

"Oh it's fine, and thank you," Chloe said smiling.

Marisa grinned, "Don't worry about it, I didn't learn magic from books either." She said, "Once you learn how to use magic, books can give you some advice."

"I get it!" Chloe exclaimed.

Marisa blinked, "Sorry, I was only trying to help... " She said.
