The Destroyer [CLOSED]

I read on http://nealpatten.googlepages.com/home that the Destroyer is a mile high monster who walks around leaving behind meters-deep trenches with each step
On the official Spyro website, on the map, the Destroyer should be that tall creature next to the dam.

Sound like another boss. I wish this game would have small sized bosses, which would easily present more of a challenge. >.>

Why? Isn't it hard enough to try and kill something that can hold you in the palm of its hand?

I like some boss battles to feature large enemies such as in Shadow of the Colossus.

Absolutely not. Large bosses, especially ones that are completely vulnerable all of the time. I specifically point to the ANB bosses, which were ridiculously easy. Even in more challenging games, like DMC 4 for example, giant screen filling bosses seemed to be more easier than ones that were the same size as you. >.>

I really don't care how big enemies are, as long as they provide a challenge.

The size of the boss never means anything, some of the bosses in Shadow of the Colossus are MASSIVE yet there a total pushover.

Yet the larger bosses are most the most EPIC and the most rewarding when you defeat them. Also in my opinion I enjoy the the larger bosses and I look most foreword to fighting them than the smaller ones.

Is Shadow of the Colossus any good?

That's a relly good page! It confirmed that the destroyer is a dragon, not the tree. It also said that The Chronicler will return too! YAY!!!!

It said on the site Techno Spyro posted that the Destroyer is a huge, mile-high, grey dragon, which Malefor is using to destroy the world. The Destroyer flies around the world and if it completes a circuit, the earth will shatter.

One, The link says nothing about gray. Two, I've seen the link Neal got the info from. Said nothing about le Destroyer being dragon. Three, it leaves huge molten trenches. Four, that beastie could be a dragon, a malformed one albeit. Sorry I'm a little grumpy. Summer boredom has struck me.

Meh summer is boring for me too. Well right now.

Anyways beck on topic. I think the Destroyer will be a mile high red dragon the appears to be onfire.

Nah, the Destroyer is on the map of the main site - definitely bipedal, a mile high and leaving a BIG trench of lava.
No dragon features about it as far as I can tell, and it IS the thing on the box-art since it has greenery and trees on its back like the site drawing (probably just shrunk it to fit on the cover), but the giant fire dragon is a cool concept nonetheless! I wouldn't mind fighting something like that. =D

I read in the bosses section of the site that the lava monster is only 200 feet tall while the Destroyer is a mile high. Nonetheless, some of the bosses featured in this game might be huge.

Quote from http://nealpatten.googlepages.com/home: The Destroyer – a giant dragon causing the dragon world’s destruction. The Dark Master has aspirations of using this mile-high Destroyer Dragon to run a ring of annihilation around the Earth. If it completes a circuit, the planet will shatter.

See? It says below that that tere is a lava golem for a boss, which proves that they are separate beings.

I read that as well in the Character and Character Designs section, but it says that the Destroyer walks around the world. My best guess is that the Destroyer is a walking bipedal mile-high dragon. If the Destroyer is one of the characters in the Characters section of the Spyro website, we will see just exactly what the it is.

That is a collection of info from articles. I've seen the articles he quoted from, said NOTHING about it being a dragon, or gray coloration. It could indeed be a dragon. Although disfigured. Repeating myself here. smilie
