We had quite a few "Save the Boomers" threads back a while ago. They're not real creatures, so..they don't need to be "saved" per se.....

I must admit I myself have picked up some sympathy for Boomer recently, and I now plan to buy him, though I may wait for his reposed "Series 2" version to release first and buy that.

I like him, I mean like, I dont hate him.

I like boomer (He's not the best) but he's aight!

But people are judgmental. They flock to the dragons and half dragons and half-half dragons and declare them the best and underdogs like Boomer and Slam Bam are born.

I don't plan getting Boomer. My friend has him and we both just don''t like his attacks and such. But if you judge this guy by his appearence, that's wrong :/ you should at least try him out, look at his attacks or SOMETHING!

he is an okay fighter but awhile ago i saw a lot of skylanders on the shelves when this person takes the skylanders and then puts boomer and vodood back so I picked them both up and got them. just becuase you fight his race in the game doesn't mean he is bad D:

I think he's just fine along with Slam Bam. He might not be the most powerful one in the game, but he's alright.

I don't like the "nah hes ugly lol" reasons either but I guess I'm okay with it if the person who thinks that's a good reason has another good reason (like "he doesn't look fun" "his attacks look hard to locate").
And I also think the dragons are over hyped and aren't as fun as people make them out to be. :)

Yeah, the dragons are heavily overrated. It doesn't matter if he's ugly. It's okay to judge by attacks if you have actually tested them and own Boomer, but don't rate him if you don't have him and say things like "He looks ugly" or "His attacks look useless".

Yes, liberate Boomer from store shelves! Send the message we want Activision to hear: Boomer sales are way up, forget about printing more Wham-Shell!

I love the drawing, but the more we let poor Boomer take one for the team and sit lonely on the shelves, the less of them they're going to want to print. This is a very good thing.

I am not quite sure what this topic means but Iw ould expect the future brings good things for Boomer.

1. Boomer is not a part of recent distribution patterns making it so he is not a major shelfwarmer like L Trigger and Wrecking Ball.

2. Boomer's are being given away in mass as part of the Frito promotion. Nothing says awesome like a free lander and I don'tknow about anyone else but I have been using this promotion to help get landers in the hand of those that don't have Boomer and Wrecking Ball.

3. It would appear from the most recent data that Boomer is not scheduled to be part of the mass repose assortment. Absence makes the heart grow fonder and this will make him a darling with collectors.

4. He is a strong and well rounded character. Despite not being God-tier he is strong and being in mass circulation will make his cult following grow.

A year from now Boomer is likely to have one of the largest cult followings of all the skylanders. He does not need to be saved he will be fine.

Boomer's okay, but I'm not sold on him. It's not the looks, I think he's very charming. *cough*D. Sarge and Zook are WAY uglier, imo*cough* But... Idk; I was only getting dragons at first, then some non-dragons grew on me. He's one of those who grew on me... but not enough.

Boomer to me is easily one of the best characters in the game, he isnt really my style though... i dont typically like characters that use bombs and such.

at first when i got him i knew i wouldnt like him but i thought that i might as well try him out, i immediately didnt start out liking him and it got worse as i leveled him up. after a while i decided to try him again, i restarted his memory and tried the bomb path instead of the ground smashing path(sorry i dont know the names of the different paths for him), and he is now one of my best characters(even though i still dont like his style of fighting). what i do when i play as him is run around the enemy in a circle and spam his throwing bomb button and his laying mine button, i can get through any fight(except against kaos) without his health going down at all what so ever.

so if you chose the ground smashing path(sorry again), be sure to maybe try him again going the other path, because it is WAY better!

He's a fine Skylander. Much better than say, Flameslinger or Sunburn.

If the wow-pow for a possible repose involves the ground pound, then activision will make more money off of me.

Boomer won't be reposed in Series 2. Boomer is my second favorite, so I wish he was in Giants.

Boomer is a regular celebrity on eBay now. Watch him fetch $50 a figure at Christmas, when all the white-collar children discover there are more characters in their new Giants game than are actually being sold in stores. He's already pushing $20 in certain cases, and it's still just early November. Boomer's been saved, and I think the community will be appreciating what he brings to the table a little more now that he's virtually unfindable.
