Once upon a time in Hollywood
Honestly felt bored most of the movie. had fun moments in it that made me wonder what's happening and why is this happening. then the last 20 minutes happened and it's the best movie ever

Somehow I never talked about Spider-Verse in here? That’s a crime.
Anyways, rewatched it during my lil Coronavirus safety quarantine, still holds up. Imo, next to flawless film. 10/10

It was, uh, okay. At first I thought it was going to be one of those stereotypical "All Psychiatrist Bad All Medicine Bad Makes You Crazy!!!" but the twist was...I guess interesting? The sex scenes were the most unnecessary things ever and just made me roll my eyes. They were so dumb and contributed absolutely nothing

Justice League Dark: Apokolips
Basically DC's version of Ultimatum. Bad and edgy just for the sake of being edgy. You know those characters that were introduced in the past idk 10+ movies? yeah lets just kill them all off brutally because we have to show the stakes and realism of death. Do you like Robin having the same story arc every movie? Lets have more of that. ending was lame too. 3/10 |

The Incredibles, again.
Still my favourite movie of all time, and I noticed in the scene where Syndrome and Mirage are leaving the room after Mr Incredible’s family is presumed dead, you can actually hear Mr Incredible crying to himself. Its really depressing when you think about it, and it’s touches like those that bring the movie from a 10/10 to a... uh.... 10/10, but more well deserved somehow

Justice League Dark: Apokolips(?) War
I don;t know when DC became the grimdark comic line, but I'm not really a fan. Was the movie good? Yeah, it was alright. I wasn't much of a fan of how hyper violent it had to be, but I understand to extent why it HAD to be that way for the narrative. I really loved Constantine in it, Matt Ryan always kills it as him. The portrayals of everyone were pretty spot on, and it had some crazy cool moments. But because of how dark it was, it just seemed really offputting, making it just alright. Probably a good 7/10.

power rangers movie (2017)
Don't know why people don't like this movie. Maybe it's because I'm a fanboy but most of the criticism from people is mostly about it disrespecting it's origins or how there is barely any power rangers in it. Idk I thought the movie expanded upon the whole teenagers with attitude gimmick and giving them actual character with problems. This movie was also suppose to be the first of 6 so of course they aren't power rangers for most of the movie. This is an origin movie. If this movie were to to get rid of all of its world building and was just non tuff action with people in suits it would be awful. I want some Krispy Kreme now |

watched alien. Sometimes I wonder if my zoomer is showing because whenever I watch older movies I look at my phone often instead. The slower pace and originality of older movies have been thrown away with new ones.
watched joker: wow this movie was so ok. didn't really blow me away as a social commentary about how society is so messed up or whatever. cinematography was really good and had fun imagery like the using graffiti on a window to represent a noose when joker was looking out of it. it wasn't that deep and it doesn't take a super genius to figure out what it means. people are saying that this is the darkest movie ever but like have you seen other movies? i thought the edgy joker quotes were quite awkward because the word "society" doesn't really roll off the tongue but phoenix did pretty good in this role. for comic book movies its at least trying to break the mold so that's pretty cool i guess? maybe hype culture is the worst thing about movies nowadays. can we talk about martha's pearls? every movie shes in her pearl necklace gets ripped and all of the pearls fall down. this is super inaccurate because expensive pearl necklaces have each pearl be stitched individually. sure the scattering of pearls looks cool for the cameras but no way martha Wayne, wife of a billionaire would wear a party city necklace. ALSO CAN MOVIES STOP USING ROCK N ROLL PART 2? |

The conjuring
I liked the the beginning and middle parts but the third act was where the movie kinda went downhill for me. Really good camera work and the movie does build up tension in a great way with a few jumpscares to reward you. I think I just disagreed with where the story went for the third act which stinked because i was generally satisfied with the movie before the whole reveal. |

arrow video's gamera collection really blows criterion's godzilla collection out of the water. so many little goodies and extras included. the godzilla set is good for what it is, but it's really bare-bones in comparison.
it's honestly a shame. it seems like criterion got screwed over by corporate meddling from toho. hell, toho made them use their hd transfers from 2008 instead of the proper masters. sucks because the restoration work criterion did on godzilla (1954) looks gorgeous, so the other movies on the set definitely don't look as good as they could. the gamera set is very sexy. i also like how there's a commentary track for every movie. i probably could have bought the cheaper, watered down set they're planning to release after this limited run ends and still be happy. |

I finally watched Onward, so I can now show my 100% factual tier list of all Pixar movies. Criticism is welcome, but... my list is perfect so shut up
S++++++ Tier Incredibles (the best movie. Not just pixar, but just in general) S Tier Monsters Inc (everything about this movie is great) Incredibles 2 (The villain almost doesn't suck, but everything else is fantastic) Inside Out (genuinely great movie, not much else to say) Coco (genuinely great movie, not much else to say) A Tier Toy Story 4 (oh wait i thought unneccessary sequels were supposed to suck?) Ratatouille (genuinely great movie, not much else to say) Toy Story 3 (a great end to what should be a trilogy, but i guess TS4 was good) Wall-E (might be as good as ratatouille or better, but the meh ending holds it back) Toy Story 2 (genuinely great movie, not much else to say) B Tier Up (carried by the first 10 minutes, but the rest is genuinely good) Onward (good movie but its somehow the least interesting fantasy world i've seen) Toy Story (good, but wow it has aged) Finding Nemo (start and end are pretty good, a lot of the middle could be skipped) Monsters University (good, but nowhere near to Monsters Inc) C Tier Finding Dory (hank is great, but thats it) The Good Dinosaur (visuals are amazing, but the plot is kinda eh) D Tier Cars (okay movie, would be c tier but cars 2 was just so bad it brings down this movie's quality) Bugs Life (good villain, forgettable otherwise) Brave (literally nothing brave about it, the entire plot was generic and predictable, Merida is an idiot and the wisps are just a plot device) Cars 3 (HAHAHA, MCQUEEN IS OLD LOL PLEASE LAUGH) F Tier Cars 2 (ugh)

Dead Poets Society (1989)
It was an enjoyable movie, to say the least. It seemed to have some rushing of storylines in order to appease the bottomline of the movie but all in all I've seen worse but I have also seen better. P.S. even in 1989 then 20-year old Robert Sean Leonard looked like middle-aged man that is what I like to call Hulk Hogan syndrome... having puberty and early adulthood during one night's sleep.
