Okay, I just bought the Kindle edition of The Machine of Doom, and it was worth it. There were some in-depth backstories and info on the characters featured.

Like Spyro. The novel reveals that he was in the Summer Forest in his world when Master Eon came and invited him to be a Skylander. He sees Eon as a mentor. Ever since he’d met the old Portal Master, Spyro had been afraid that one day Eon would fall to Kaos. In the book, Spyro's worst fear is Eon being in chains, and Kaos being absolute ruler of Skylands and the universe.

And Glumshanks. He flunked everything back when he was in the Troll academy, from rudimentary detonation to advanced annihilation. According to Boomer, Glumshanks couldn't work out which end of the dynamite to light.

Flynn and Hugo are both Mabu.

Does this come out in non kindle format?

No, the paperback doesn't come out until August.

Poor Glumshanks. .......Oh well, love him anyhow. He seems pretty smart to me.

I know these are official but are they cannon?

It is canon, yes, confirmation from the author, Cavan Scott by contacting him on his website.

Well they did explain Kaos' backstory even further:

He has brothers who were blessed with long, flowing locks, while Kaos was bald, ugly, and devastatingly smelly. His father dismissed Kaos as an embarassing runt, and the tyrant leaves for the wilderness.

Having created a group of mannequin people called the Wilikin, Kaos realized he had something of a knack for magic, and he threw himself into learning more about this unexpected power. When his research brought him to the subject of Portal Masters, he immediately knew he must be one of them. The only problem was, he didn’t have a portal. So, with Glumshanks at his side, he began to scour the universe for one. It was only a matter of time before they found their way to Skylands and learnt of the Core of Light, the mysterious machine that filled Skylands with light and kept The Darkness at bay. Hungry for power, Kaos had tried to destroy the Core there and then, but had been defeated by Master Eon and the Skylanders. He, however, had never given up on the dream of ruling Skylands.

I finished the book and first it said "This is not the end..." Then it says "THE END." why?

It's 'THE END?'

That means there may possibly be a sequel, if the book sells enough.

I love how we get more of a look at everyone's personality!

Is worth while? I mean, it's not somekind of short, huge spaced books. How big is it?

The paperback version isn't out yet, the Kindle version has been released.

Spyro is literally Classic and Legend mashed up with zing

This Spyro has a thing for treasure hunting and his pretty arrogant and used to fighting things solo or all on himself.

And he looks up to Master Eon as a mentor, whose ways influenced him to save Kaos. Though Spyro literally wanted to leave Kaos to his fate lol

Gill Grunt believes he's the greatest singer in history, when he's really a terrible singer like all Gillmen lol And his friends don't want to tell Gill the truth of that since they like him.

I hope Activision decides to make more books because Cavan Scott really knows how to make people laugh! I love how we see more of Flynn's caring side, risking himself to save Skylands.

The novels got reviews of the eBook version, and the author (Cavan Scott) has been looking at the darkSpyro forums AND the Spyro Wikia O.O

I've been trying to wait patiently for this book to come out on the nook but unfortunately every time I log on to the nook website it gives me a different date for Machine of Doom!

I can't wait to read this myself, because of all the background and more personalities of the skylanders especially spyro, like every one is saying
plus the illustration looks pretty good.

The reason Glumshanks works for Kaos is because he didn't pass Troll school.He lit the wrong end of the dynamite.I thought he was smart too until I read that on the Spyro Wiki
