One of my students told me that Gamestop now is offering gold Skylanders for 49000 rewards points. Any truth to this?

I agree Himewad, I could have gotten a couple, I just don't honestly think its worth it.

Plus the variants are kinda meh. I can make the same thing and it'll probably look better. I have 11 different shades of gold alone.
