I bought it at a Game Stop in Texas, USA. The guy saw me shopping and said "Hey I have one here behind the counter with a Clear Stealth Elf." I hadn't seen these at all, so I bought it even though I already have these figures. Glad I did. Now I have to decide what to do. I have no idea what it's worth apart from the few completed (and current) auctions for clear SE, WS and Cynder over in Australia. One of them sold for over $1100!!! That's nuts!

Like sykotek, start an auction on eBay, start it at $0.01 with free shipping and see how much money you'll reel in. Unless you want to collect the variants, you should sell it. At least, I personally would.

This is the only variant figure we have. I saw in the info page here for the Waves that Crystal Stealth Elf came out in solo packs, but no mention of a Crystal option in the 3-pack. If this was intentional on their part, then there will be more, and the value will drop. If it was an accident or even an on-purpose accident by some guy at the plant, then the value long term won't go down at all, but would probably go way way up. I'm torn!!

I agree with sykotek except that I would mitigate risk by stating that free shipping on kicks in if the item exceeds a set price.

Is it likely to happen? 99.99993478634786378% confidence level that final price will exceed the price where free shipping would kick in but in this crazy world, you just don't know...

What happens if he gets a non paying bidder?

I am thinking of listing it... I appreciate everyone's input and feedback. This sort of thing doesn't happen to me, and I almost feel bad. They clerk picked me, of all his customers, to sell this one to. My kid loves the fact that we have it. Made me take his picture with it as proof. But he also knows I would never let him open it. I think I should probably sell it to someone who is interested in collecting and preserving sets of these. Keep an eye out for it on eBay, with my apologies to the excellent Game Stop clerk who helped me out!

Please don't feel guilty; I think it went to a worthy person so why not subsidise your collection costs?

Are you really going to post it on Ebay? If so when do you plan to do it and how much would it be? I might be but it.

wow dude let your kid open it. dont be greedy. ive let my kids open every varient we have found. toys are meant to be played with not idolized and sold for rediculous prices. give it to the kid seriously....

I talked to my son about it. He already has the same figures to play with, and he would rather have the ability to buy some new baseball gear and get started on the Giants in the Fall. I'm almost done with the listing.

I think you are making a mistake putting it up for 10 days. Leaving too much room for more to pop up which will bring down its value. I would have listed it for 3-5 days max. You already got 100 hits on it.

That's pretty cool, since it sort of confirms that Cynder should be in a 3 pack too, given that she's with zook and rod who don't have variants.

Whammy isn't in a 3 pack at all, so he's the odd crab out.

I was just in Target last night w/my son - he freaked out when he saw the 3 pack that had the clear Stealth Elf - we bought it - didn't know if rare or not. I know I could have sold it but I had to let him open it - oh well - it is worth it seeing how completely psyched he is, especially since it's his birthday. It was just sitting on the rack with a bunch of other 3 packs, but this was the only one in clear.
