"The year of the dragon has come, Gaul" Malefor said malevolently. "This means that you must raid the dragon temple, and destroy all of the eggs to prevent another purple dragon. However, if you fail to bring me one egg you WILL suffer my wrath!" "Yes Master" Gaul said obidiently as he scurried away with his armies to collect the egg and destroy the others.

"HURRY! The Dark Master's forces have come!" Volteer warned Ignitus.
Ignitus, in a panic hurried to rescue the purple egg, forgot about the others and flew off in a frenzied panic. Gauls forces soon overran the three Elemental Masters, and they soon destroyed all of the eggs... Save a black egg that Gaul returned to the Dark Master.

Malefor laughed malevolently and said "Good work, Gaul. I will now be freed from this hideous place." "But didn't you create it sir?" an unimportant slave spoke up. RAAAAARRR! Malefor quickly destroyed the innocent slave. "Nobody questions the FIRST purple dragon" Malefor bellowed, "I who have mastered fire, wind, earth, ice, electricity, darkness, and more will destroy anything that gets in my way!"

Just as he said this the black egg hatched, and the black dragon came out. "GAUL!" Malefore yelled angrily, "YOU BROUGHT ME A FEMAL WHELPING! THIS SHALL NOT GO UNPUNISHED! DUE TO YOUR EFFORTLESS ATTEMPTS TO BRING ME A SLAVE, YOU SHALL TRAIN HER!"

Gaul, lazy and tired didn't want to train this whelping all of her life, so he hung her over a magical fire pit, poisoning and corrupting her soul, forcing her to have no choice but to obey Malefor.

"You have done better than i expected, Gaul" Malefor said surprisingly calm. "Perhaps there is hope yet, YES I shall escape this terrible well, and the world will again suffer under my wrath!" Malefor said, determined. Turning towards Cynder, now an adult sized dragon he ordered her to leave the Well of Souls, capture the four elemental masters, and drain their powers. Cynder, her mind a blur only understood his command and left, ready to search and destroy.

The entire world of dragons was ready to attack the Dark Master's forces, but they weren't prepared for an evil dragon to attack them, and slowly they were all picked off one by one. Cynder managed to capture Volteer the electric master, Cyril the ice master, and Terrador the earth master, but somehow Ignitus the fire master escaped into the swamp. Angered, Cynder flew high above the swamp in search of Ignitus, but to no avail, and little did she know, but right below her was a purple dragon, Spyro accompanied by Sparx a dragonfly.

Later on, a head commander helping her on her search for Ignitus gave her the news of a small purple whelping wandering the swamp. "But that is impossible, even if the purple egg could have survived, I would have destroyed that dragon with all of the others." Cynder said in a rage. "Yes, master, but perhaps he escaped as Ignitus did?" the commander said nervously. That was the last thing the ape commander said before Cynder destroyed him and flew off in a huff to find and destroy Spyro.

Cynder, unable to find Spyro, sent forces to guard the temple, and when nobody returned, she knew that the dragon, Ignitus returned, and that he couldn't get in without help, so the purple dragon must have been with him. She later returned to Dante's Freezer to recieve the electric crystal from Volteer, afterwards she flew to the convexity and inserted it into the chapel like entrance. As she waited for Cyril's crystal to charge, she got word from a warrior working in Dante's freezer that the Ice King protecting Volteer from rescuing was destroyed by a purple dragon that breathed fire and electricity. Upon hearing that, Cynder quickly flew off to collect Cyril's crystal from the Tall Plains.

Cynder managed to create a stone guardian to prevent any electricity from doing much harm. Unfortunately, she later heard news of the purple pest defeating it with ice. 'The purple dragon is getting stronger' she thought 'I must destroy it before my master discovers this.'

Cynder, determined to keep the purple pest from rescuing Terrador, ordered all who saw Spyro in Munitions Forge to battle the dragon, and to keep him from seeing the Manwersmall.

Unfortunately she later got news that Steam Engine was currently battling him, trying to prevent Terrador's crystal from being destroyed. Before Cynder could hear that the dragon learned the earth breath, she flew to the center of the soon to erupt volcano to prevent the crystal from being taken.

As she arrived, she saw Steam being defeated, so she quickly snachted up the crystal, and began to head toward the purple whelping. "Run Spyro Run!" Terrador called, and just as Cynder was about to make her move, Spyro fled into the volcano. Cynder, tired of the purple pest flew after him, ready to attack. But, everytime she snapped, Spyro dodged. She soon caught up to him as they exited the volcano though, and as she was about to make the final blow, Ignitus came out of the blue and thwy fought, losing control of flight and plummeting to the earth.

She soon however took control of the battle, and Ignitus was quickly taken to her own hide out where the ape armies were well armed, statues electrocuted intruders, conduits were in every building, and the where Spyro would surely meet his death.

As Cynder was on one of her patrols, she passed Spyro and took good aim to smack his dragonfly friend to the ground. She laughed to herself thinking of how fun it would be to destroy this pest.

Cynder watched as Spyro entered the chamber that was holding Ignitus prisoner. Laughing she stood between him and Ignitus preventing any happy reunion. With this, she said something, but her mind was too blurry for her to know what she was saying, it was as if the Dark Master's control was becoming stronger as he became closer to escaping.

With this, a fight began, and Cynder galloped toward Spyro jaws snapping, but she missed and she was pummeled by an earth attack. Not ready to give up, Cynder tail swiped Spyro and clawed him while he was still down.

Unfortunately for Cynder, Spyro used a fully charged fire fury, and she felt weaker. But, she smiled, because she knew that the crystal was fully charged, so she quickly picked it up and left Spyro with his weakened mentor.

In the convexity, Cynder placed Ignitus's crystal into the entrance and said, "My master returns!" Suddenly she heard the purple whelping behind her, "My, my persistent little pest, aren't we? No mercy this time!" With that Cynder rose up into the air on her hind legs and rolled her neck as if to say do you honestly think you can defeat me?

Spyro, determined as ever, tried the same moves on Cynder as he did in the last battle, but Cynder learned her lesson and dodged. Just then, Spyro leapt up behind her neck, and continued to air melee her, as soon as he touched the ground, Cynder used her own combo, she hit him with her claw, tail swiped him, and snapped at him.

Unfortunately, this drained her and she was soon frozen in ice. bout, she was then jolted by electricity. She felt her power continue to drain, so she rose into the air, and flew in a circle while breathing her shadow fire, all the while trying to hit Spyro, but as soon as she touched down, she was hit by a ferocious earth fury attack.

She knew that if her power was drained one more time, that it would be the end of her. So, using all of her power she began blasting shadow fireballs at Spyro, but he was blasting a convexity breath that he recieved from his ancestors.

Cynder was soon brought to her knees, and before she knew it Spyro was using a fury attack. Even though her mind was a blur at the closeness of Malefor, Cynder clearly saw the purple heads butting her all around.

Suddenly, the portal opened, and Cynder was returned to normal. She vaguely felt the suction pulling her limp body back into the vortex that she was blasted out of so long ago. She then blacked out.

Later, she awoke in the dragon temple, her mind no longer blurry, for the Dark Master no longer controlled her. However, she was too weak and couldn't even talk. All she could do was listen to the Elemental Masters that she rendered helpless, Spyro weakened by the force of the Convexity Fury, and Sparx just jabbering away. But she did manage to blush a little when Spyro winked at her.

ONE YEAR LATER....

Cynder's color changed from the dark black that she recieved as a slave to the Dark Master to a gray that to all of the dragons showed she was good. Sparx, however thought otherwise.

"Spyro, Spyro buddy wake up!" Sparx said, "The evil dragon left, I think that she is still planning on eating me!" "WHAT?! Cynder shouldn't be out there on her own! Come on Sparx, we have to go rescue her!" Spyro said, dismayed. Reluctantly, Sparx followed Spyro out of the Temple.

Spyro soon found Cynder outside of the temple. "What are you doing out here all alone Cynder?" Spyro asked. "Spyro! You shouldn't be here! I am leaving, I can tell that nobody wants me here." Cynder said. As Spyro tried to protest Cynder said "Don't follow me." and ran off.

As Cynder ran the Temple was bombarded by Gaul's forces as they tried to find and capture Cynder. Luckily for Cynder she escaped the temple, only to be captured by the Assasin. However, the Assasin got caught up in a battle against Spyro and Cynder was able to escape.

She flew to the uninhabited swamplands and as she explored, came upon a pirate ship. She decided that it would be fun to explore, so she entered only to be seen by the main pirate, Skabb. She put up a good fight, but she was soon outnumbered and thrown into a jail cell.

Scratch, the brains of Skabb said "You will soon have another chance to fight, dragon. But you must wait until tonight." That night, Cynder was brought up against the Blunder Tails, she easily disposed of them. The next night, she battled the Ravaged Rider, she was faint after the battle, but she was able to destroy it as well. And finally, on the third night she battled the Executioner. It was much harder to defeat him, Cynder couldn't manage to get a proper hit due to his shield and his almost invisible attacks. But, in the end she won.

"You gonna wait here FOOL!" Sniff said. "Yes, yes, you will have your chance to fight, but first we must retrive Arborick, he should be a match for you." Scratch said. Cynder, tired of the battles did nothing to prevent them from retriving whatever this Arborick was.

Later that night, she was told that her fights were going to be cancelled for a while. This gave her a well deserved rest.

Sweet story, IamCynder!

Three nights later, Cynder was pulled out for a bonus match. Cynder had no idea who she was going to be battling, but she figured that whoever it was must be pretty good. "Tonight, we have a special bonus match," Scratch said, "This purple dragon will be facing the former Queen of Conquer herself, Cynder!" As Scratch said that the crowd of pirates went crazy as Cynder entered the colleseum.

Cynder gasped as she saw that she would be facing Spyro, but this gave her a plan. "Just like old times, huh Spyro?" Cynder asked, indicating the battles that they had whe Cynder was a slave for the Dark Master. "I'm not going to fight you Cynder." Spyro replied. "Relax, we'll just give them a show while we work things out." Cynder replied quietly.

Spyro and Cynder then began to circl each other. Cynder faked a jab with her claw, and Spyro jumped back. Then, just as Cynder was about to pounce, a loud cracking sound filled the colleseum as Gaul's army dropped bombs from their Dreadwings. "Get your hands off me you creep!" Cynder yelled.

But, before Spyro could even think Cynder was taken away from him, once again thanks to the Dark Master.

Cynder awoke with a collar around her neck. Once again she was a captive for the Dark Master. The apes in the room took great delight in throwing rotten fruits at her, and even occasionally knocking her out with a boulder.

After a week of this torture, an ape took Cynder's collar by the chain and dragged her into the chamber that Gaul stayed in.
